Evening all, just wanted to let you know that I received a letter today from the FOS to acknowledge receipt of my letter for fast track but nothing else. Is this their usual response?
Have they just said they will look into it?? I have asked but all i get is we have noted it..
  • Phoned up FO today and was told because so many people are asking to be fast-tracked they are only fast-tracking in extreme circumstances ie if you are about to lose your home or are seriously/terminally ill.

All they've said is thank you for your correspondence received safely on 22nd Sept. That's it!

Yes I suppose it is becoming very popular this fast tracking issue, and even if people are put on that, its not guaranteed to have the cases seen any quicker...... . It may just push them along a little bit.

    Hi di,
It's not a policy as such, it's a works agreement, I don't have a seperate policy, this is just something that came with my job

    Thanks again

I was told that by one person when i rang. She told me fast track is only about "death" etc.

Thats exactly the what they say with mine. You have put my mind at rest a little really as each time i ring they just say that the comments have been noted and nothing is being done so I now assume we have not passed for fast track. We are paying interest only on our mortgage and only one working and have debts too. Oh well, its not just me then...

Still mention it to Barclays though sparky. Its worth it. Its does not matter what sort of agreement/policy it is. You are still covered elsewhere.

I know my hubby has also requested for Fast track about his 2 claims, he is on sick leave right now due to depression and on high medication for this, and suffers stress, only receiving the £70 odd a week SSP which is paid by his works, I am a carer for my autistic son which is £50 a week, okay we have 2 children, but a mortgage to pay like most of us, unfortunately we are unable to claim on the mortgage yet as we have to wait 6 months because when hubby lost his last job alongside with 400 others when the company went into administration we claimed then, this is why there is a 6 month waiting time now....... .
So yep, well in the overdraft now.

It was that reason of above of why my hubby sank into depression, he was working in that steelworks for years before they closed down......
