Yep agreed there's something quite not right, have you googled into this one at all, just curious to see if anyone else has added anything about FP disputes ??

From Martin Lewis himself on Firstplus

The worry here is that now First Plus has closed its doors to new business, it has no reputation to protect as the brand is finished, thus it wouldn’t suffer much by hugely hiking rates for existing customers. My hope is this won’t happen, yet just in case here’s a subtle hint to all First Plus customers.

DON’T REFER TO IT AS FIRST PLUS, refer to it as BARCLAYS first plus
After all, Barclays is the parent company and still has a brand to protect, so if people refer to it that way it increases the brand impact of treating its customers poorly.

hi can anyone help after 2 letters and a phone call to firstplus they say we was not missold out ppi but we think different we have been offered over £7000 paid back to out loan and a reduction of £70 the ppi was £132 do you think we should take it further
Sue, you need to post details of the actual loan here to get an idea of whether what they are offering is a rip off. If you put the dates and all the loan, PPI etc someone can look at it for you. There is always the FOS if its not looking a good amount or another letter may do the trick. You have to remember if this was a single premium that you would be paying interest on it for the full term of the loan and not just the 5 year policy.

Its not that Di, its about the interest rate of others still with loans in that Firstplus have no reputation to keep up now but Barclays have.
