  • :j Hi everyone been looking on this site for a while but this is my first post.

I took out a loan with Halifax and they included the ppi without explaining it to me first i came out of work in 2004 after damaging my back, as i didnt no that i had insurance i struggled to keep paying the loan amount each month, anyway in June this year i was sorting through some papers an up pops my loan agreement papers to cut a long story short i wrote to Halifax and in August they wrote back saying that they did explain the ppi but as they had no way of knowing this they where paying back the ppi plus 8% interest as a gesture of goodwill. Hope my story gives others hope thay they can do the same and get back what is rightfully theres in the first place.

If "poli" means many, and "tics" means bloodsucking creatures what does "politics" mean?

Just do a letter stating that you had a loan that was broked by Ocean Finance and that the loan was with Nemo and you believe you were missold the insurance for whatever reasons you have. You then give them the loan agreement number of Nemo and they will have records there. You give your name and address etc and also include a copy of the agreement ifyou have one.

    Hi Cot

Would go back to person that sold the insurance. Do what Marshallka has said they sold so they are responsible. (They also got good commission for doing so)

I would also do your own letter to Ocean so you have a proof of posting and it does not go beyond 8 weeks etc.

    Hi Marshallka

Did you understand what Tiggrae was saying last night about unfair rebate etc etc. Seemed to make sense to me. Its confusing isn't it difference between Loan and PPI is completely different but confusing. Or is that just me. Hope fence looks better:D How did your daughter get on at big school. My daughter just started 6th form college and absolutely adores it.:j

Thanks for asking, she loves the high school, seems to have shot up in two weeks too. . I can't imagine her at college:eek: .

The fence look fab thanks. I had to wait as the tits were nesting and still had two fence panels to finish from may. The babes have flown now (flew ages ago - but nested really late:confused: ) so I had no excuse than to finish it and to tell you the truth the fresh air has done me good.:D

I did understand but you have to be so careful in your wording then as Di rang and asked about her complaint and they already written in unfair rebate/settlement. Its so confusing. No-one has ever confirmed to me that settlement means loan and not PPI. Its was the GISC issue that I found confusing. I always knew that GISC was only insurance complaints but wanted to know what type of complaint unfair rebate/settlement was and whether GISC counted in these type of complaints.

With my Nemo complaint, that was about the loan advance, but the first loan although Nemo was the lender, I have complained to the broker who had actually sold this who was Twopart/Eloan, as they arranged the loan and the ppi, the sale was undertaken by telephone.;)

Its whoever arranged the loan product you have to complain to.;)

If its the rebate issue then that would be the lender.;) Unless you have also had a loan advance with these where they made you take the ppi or so.
These would be 2 different complaints.
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D

Quite agree it is very confusing and wish it could be put down here so my brain can understand, although have more understanding now.

In dilema myself have accepted FOS decision re 3 loans I had but feel that I have still not been compensated correctly. Need money so need to agree but do not want to agree in full and final cause that stops you complaining about other things. Cant sleep at moment cause am worried how things can be worded so I can take things further as and when. Am so torn at mom.
