Yes I do have original finance agreement stating that my monthly premium will be £153.92. But actually every months from my account has been £162 for PPI I never requested. Also now I suspect that the this PPI was included in all 60months as settlement figure i paid in 2005.

    Good one hun !:D
Just having a coffee break now. Only had two large panels to do. I did the rest in May but funny really cause the tits were still nesting in their box and i could not finish the last two. All flown now and this is the first year I have missed seeing their little heads pop out (cause of this damn thread!!!).

All done and dusted, so be back later after cleaning my brushes.

    Hi all PPI Reclaimers

Have listened to SAR and now about to write to FP to reclaim my missold PPI back. I'm absolutely flummoxed as to how to work this out and wondered if anyone could help. Approx Loan details below (not put exact figs as am paranoid the wrong people could be watching):

    Loan: £35,000 over 10 years (120 months)
    PPI: £ 8, 500
    Monthly Loan repayments: £400.00
    Monthly PPI: £ 95.00
Have paid 3 years so far (36 months).

Have no idea where to start as APR started out at 7.7% and is now at 9.6%

any help very very gratefully received.

    Feebs x
I have just looked back over your last posts and see you received a fob off letter in june... Did you then send them another letter because they would have closed the matter after 8 weeks if you did not??

Also you say you have received your SAR and that the vital piece of info is missing. They did that on me and blanked out my talking on certain conversations on the tape.

I would just get another letter done and also get your complaint into FOS if they do not reply in your favour. (You have to give them 8 weeks from your first letter of complaint and this has to be a final response letter). What was the date of your loan and PPI??

You are looking to be put back into the position as if you never had the PPI at all and that includes all interest back and also 8% statutory interest as well.

I would not try to work out your figures yet. Just get on with the claim.

Hi there, I was just about to send of a completed MCOL form in an attampt to reclain PPI paid on an HFC credit card opened in 1992. I think I have been able to make a good case for this being mis-sold....ie it wasn't properly explained to me as if it was and I knew that it was optional I would not have taken it out as it was not suitable for my needs etc etc. I have been feeling a bit wobly about doing this as I am not sure what I am letting myself in for so have been putting it off.I have just recieved an e-mail from a company telling me that they can help me to reclaim PPI and offering their services. has anyone any experience of anything like this and is there any advantage in using this service. I do realise that they would take a cut but could that be worth it? Any thoughts very welcome. Thanks.
This claim is going back to 1992... There is a very good chance this could be thrown out of court as statute barred ie over 6 years old and companies only have to keep records for 6 years.

This reclaim company is up to you but personally I think you would be wasting your money here. One thing to look for when using these companies is their claims management number and check the company of the Ministry of Justice too. I would certainly steer clear of a company from an email.

When you write your letter for the reclaim state that you want to be put back into the position as if your never had the PPI at all. Wait for their response and don't be surprised at the fob off letter then you usually get the chance to write again. If after this it is still not in your favour then you will be able to take your complaint to the FOS for them to look into. You have to give the company 8 weeks for a full and final response and then when you have a final can you go to the FOS.

Do not go with them without very careful thought. Some companies are telling you that they probably can help and are charging between 300 and 500 pounds just to confirm they can help. Do it for yourself then you keep all you get back if your claim is successful. There is a 6 year lime limit. Although as far as I am aware it is after the policy was cancelled not when it started. When did you/ or have you cancelled the PPI.

There are plenty of people on here who can help you every step of the way.:D

  • I have just recieved notification that Virgin have denied my request to claim PPI.
They have said that "PPI was applied to my account following my request on the application form"
They have enclosed a copy of the application form which shows I selected PPI. However at no point was I asked about pre-existing medical conditions.

Is there anything I can do?

Was the premium a single premium policy whereby you paid for it by a loan and then paid interest on that for the full term of the loan??
