  • Yes the loans were to pay the others off. I am not sure how the PPI was taken out I think we got what we hadn't paid taken off the loan when we paid them off. Not to sure.
:T Yeah I've just worked out how to add this to the bottom. Wow:T

If this the case you most probably only got back a small rebate of each PPI each time you cancelled. Just make your complaint using the template off here and after you have received your agreements from them. Like Di says might be worth a trip to your local branch and request the copies there and then. Get claiming and good luck.

Can we please have some more PPI reclaimers as I am dwelling on my own problems at the moment and I hate to do it. I always feel better helping with other peoples. :D

Hello there. Just thought I'd better let you know that after I sent the Halifax my recorded template letter, I got a reply on the 3rd Sept. Which I might add I was surprised at so soon after sending it....
They say they're "sorry to hear of my concerns regarding the insurance apllied to my loans. It goes on to say that they are keen to deal with my concerns as quickly as possible, however it may take some time and that the FSA allows them (halifax) up to 8 wks to investigate complaints and it is their intention to deal with my concerns within that timescale and provide updates when appropriate".
Is this a normal reply do you think?

Hi hun, so this is the letter to let you know that they have received your letter of complaint, so now that they have confirmed this - still count 8 weeks as from that date of the letter you sent.
Good luck hope this goes in your favour.;)

(This may be a standard letter they sent to all the complainants), maybe.
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D

Yeah, this is a normal reply to your first letter. A standard fob off usually and also a stalling method. (It gives them more time to keep your money.)

Just have to wait now and you will receive a final response within the 8 weeks and we will take it from there. It is quite normal.

    Hope you win.;)

I bet they see thats its a PPI complaint and just throw it to a printer and print off the letter that states "looking into it" , wait near on 8 weeks and then send the next print of "tough".

Again regarding Lloyds tsb Credit Card ppi complaint the first letter to confirm the complaint was received was the 3rd Aug 08 this is their responses so far with dates:

1st letter dated 3 Aug 2008: this is what it said:
Received the letter today from the FOS to let me know they are now passing this complaint to their casework support team to await allocation to one their adjudicators.

    30th July 2008

YOUR COMPLAINT ABOUT LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC

    Dear XXX XXXXX

The large volume of cases we are dealing with at present has meant that we have not yet been able to allocate your complaint to one of our adjudicators so that is can be assessed.
However, we will do this as soon as possible and we will contact you again within the next four weeks to keep you updated on the progress of your complaint.
If you need to contact us, please remember to quote our reference XXXXXXXX(PPI)XXXX

    Yours sincerely

Letter received from the FOS to tell me yet again, due to the high volumes in these complaints, the case has not yet been forwarded to a adjudicator but will be for as soon as possible, and they will be in touch again in 4 weeks.

Basically its the same letter as the last one 4 weeks back.
    .............................................................................................
Am expecting the same letter to come back in the next 2 weeks as it will be almost 4 weeks gone then.

I thought you could get it fast tracked like your other one. Can you not ask about it and send in details of your other and that your circumstances have not changed.
