Di, Lloyds are pants! real meanies, but yes actually they did say if I have anything to add they would like to hear, but i'm not sure on how the bank stands on ticking someones boxes on the application form for them to then sign and if its enough for me to get them to reconsider, it defeinatly hasn't been 8 weeks but this looks like a final letter apart from the bit about anything to add to the complaint.

They are a load of muppets hun.

Write to them and tell them that you note they have mentioned that you can now complain to the FOS, and confirm you are in the process of doing this anyway meanings they have already confirmed you can do this if you are unhappy with their decision.

This way may make them think, although going from what I have read on some forums, some do actually receive a final response in their favour because of doing this, but others not, so still complain to the FOS anyway.

I would also request for Lloyds to get back to you within 7 days with a better response and not 14, its up to you hun, but keep at them.;)

    Do both.

Add a copy of the letter in the complaints form from Lloyds about them confirming the FOS.

  • Just been having a look at the re-working of the letter and what do you think of this, I just want to give them one last chance realy as I hear the FO has a looong wait :D!

    Dear Sir or Madam,

    Re: Account number:
    .

I am writing in response to your letter dated 12th September 2008, with regards the insurance sold with my loan.

I do not feel your letter has offered a satisfactory justification that my policy was sold fairly, reasonably and within my best interests so I request that you look into my complaint again. I have raised a complaint with the financial Obudsman and have forwarded a copy of the signed CCA which Lloyds TSB has clearly ticked the boxes for PPI to be added onto my loan themselves without giving me the opportunity to pick for myself if the PPI was right for me.

I look forward to your full response in 7 days
    .

    Yours faithfully,
    DFD 29/12/10 :D

you'll have to check when the company was registered with the FSA to see if the FOS can look at it - but from my knowledge the FOS didn't formally start until 01.12.2001 so I doubt they'd be able to look at your complaint

If the FOS can't help who can?

Well done hun, well said, and with a bit of luck this will change their minds, but all is not lost yet, so keep smiling hun I'm sure you will come out the winner at the end of it.:D ;) .

I went past their offices yesterday !!!!
So tempted to call in lol.
I don't live far away from these either.

Oh, only to say, I emailed the letter in and requested them to pass this on to the main complaints dept as on your letter, they got back the same day to confirm delivery of this but just to be on the safe side send a hard copy as well, you can still go by today's date then too.

If I get no success through the FOS I will of course think about County Court myself if it comes to it, okay its another battle but because I know I'm innocent in all this like us all I will keep on to the best I can until there is no other direction to go.;)
