my responsibility should of read. I do not remember any info on already been covered by my employer, When I sent reclaim letter I did adv I canx the PPI due to the fact that I was covered by my employer, I have had a few times of absence due to illness if they keeping my PPI does that mean they will pay me?

LLetter states finanal response and FOS leaflet!!

    What do I do now:confused:[/quote
I would request a SAR it costs 10squid
this will have all your payments of PPI so you can add them up
I would submit a FOS complaints form you need to down load one and pop it in the post

    Thanks Laini

I have advised them £655 + interest and have received all statements showing PPI payments, shall I just go to FOS then:confused:

You have had your final response so just take your complaint to the FOS now. Good luck

Hi All those who received mail e mails fax telephone letters or communication you can get in touch with the services below to stop companies contacting you. If they do contact you you can report them and they may get a fine. Have done so with fax and letter but recently complained to BT about something and they sent me the following e mail. Hope it helps.

Thank you for your e-mail dated 5/9/08 about the unsolicited e-mail.

I would like to inform you that there is an E-mail Preference Service (e-MPS) sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) which also administers the MPS, TPS and FPS schemes. This facility allows you to reduce the amount of unsolicited commercial and non-profit e-mail you receive. Details of how to register on-line for this service can be found via the DMA's website at www.dmaconsumers.org/consumerassistance where up to date telephone and fax numbers may be found. It should be emphasised that, in the absence of international agreements, the E-mail Preference Service operates only in respect of U.K. organisations.

You can register online at the following sites:
    Telephone Preference Service:
    http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tpsr/html/default.asp

    Fax Preference Service:
    http://www.fpsonline.org.uk/fpsr/html/default.asp

    Email Preference Service:
    http://www.e-mps.org.uk/

    Mailing Preference Service:
    http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsR/html/default.asp

I hope this information has been useful to you and that the Preference Services are able to help you.

If you should have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us again via e-mail.

    Thank you for contacting BT.

    Yours sincerely,

No I Sent copy of Complaint form to MBNA that I had sent to FOS and they used that info. I think as we have discussed before the FOS are funded by Banks etc. Have also heard from another legal dept today that the FOS are working out refunds to suit the banks rather than us. I am aware that they can only suggest they settle but if they put two fingers up at FOS then I believe I am right in saying that court is the only action hmmmmm. They act as mediators (bit like going to counselling like marriage guidance if both sides do not agree they can only make recommendations).

It is not fair though cause all the time we are waiting if your are financially stretched you then get yourself into a worse debt whilst waiting for them to get their finger out.:rotfl:
I think there may be a bit of confusion about the FOS - you have to remember they are a Government organisation and the Government forces the Financial Institutions to pay a levy to fund the FOS - they are totally independant of those financial institutions and believe me they hate having to pay the levy - also if an adjudicator says a claim should be upheld and the business refuses the claim will then go to the main Ombudsman who if he agrees the business HAS to pay up - it's legally binding on them to do so - personally I think they do a great job in difficult legal circumstances and if there is any area of doubt I believe they'll come down on the side of the consumer rather than the business !!
