When you’re broke and you need a loan
Don’t be afraid to hock your home
It’s ok if you can’t work or die
Cos you’ll be covered by PPI

You can pay it up front they can add it to loan
You can sort it all out over the phone
They will trick you and hide all the cost it’s so easy
Bombard you with figures that make you all dizzy

They’ll hard sell and try to persuade you to buy
And pre-tick the boxes and tell big fat lies
And if you say no they’ll keep on at you
You won’t get the loan if you don’t buy their poo

And then when you realise that you’ve been miss-sold
They deny everything and say you were told
They say you shouldn’t have signed the contract
And that you knew you would get nothing back

You argue and fight and you get so distressed
And you send your complaint to the FOS
You have to wait months to see if you’ve won
Keep checking the post to see what’s been done

At least there’s a forum to get some help
From Marshallka, Di and everyone else
It’s that bloke’s called Martin from off of the telly
    Moneysavingexpert.com’s got some welly!!

Aww hunni this is a fantastic poem and thank you for your lovely comments in mentioning both Marshallka and I and I know Marshallka will appreciate this too.:A :T ;) .thank you. ;)

  • Sorry not up to date with your cases, but I hope someones had SUCCESS!!!!

    Tired now.......
  • I'm still waiting for an adjudicator in relation to a CCA issue I have raised with the FOS and I'm not holding out much hope for something happening this side of Xmas! In the interim, I've asked for the account to be put on hold due to a 'dispute' being place, so Sainsburys should not be adding interest or anything to the account while it is on hold. I sent them a recorded delivery letter telling them that, quoting the legislation and guidelines and their Rosyth office have since contacted me and said, "Sorry we can't resolve this to your satisfaction..................bla bla...............been passed to Customer Relations in Leeds.................."

If anything, they should know that they are forbidden to add interest to an account while there is an ongoing dispute which, as this is with the FOS, it's clear that there is a dispute in place.

I hope those who are disputing PPI on credit cards remember and write to the organisation involved and insist that they put the account on hold until the dispute isn resolved?
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Paid £540 for three flights. It's all ATOL covered but they say it takes 12-16 weeks to get money back but in the meantime I need to fork out again for flights because for sure they will all go up now.

Any luck finding a job yet?

lets hope its sooner- but at least you are getting your money back

no job yet - very frustrating - thanks for asking

    was it a single premium

    was this mis sold? or
    unfair rebate?

it sounds like they have given you a rebate when you settled the loan I would ask for a break down of figures so you know.
Don t take their word for it as it could be a case for unfair rebate.

    Hi
Can you give more details e.g. amounts, refunds etc. Sounds like the standard fob off letter. Have they put Final Response and given you info of the FOS

No I haven't pushed them, just get a letter every month saying they haven't been able to assign yet. Don't want to go the hardship route really but might have to. If I send them a copy of my bank statements they will probably all faint!!

    I did

I sent bank statements and credit card statements and a covering letter requesting it- not sure if it worked but a couple of weeks later we got an adjudicator
it had been 6 months since we had submitted our complaint to the FOS
give it a shot if you really need to.
