Hi Laini
You can see why people do not go ahead with these claims. These letters are worded in such a way that you think they must be right and we are wrong.
we know now that they are fob off templates!!!
I took Nemo s word for it last year when I tried to complain it wasnt until I found out on this site I was right that we had been mis sold so 2 adjudications later with FOS and Nemo we are hopefully getting our money back.
Wayne just needs to keep saying I dont agree and keep fighting them all the way.
I am sure Di has dealt with L.V. so she is the lady to ask.still fighting for my money !!!0 -
Good morning lovely people and hugs for Marshallkea.x:grouphug:
Can anybody clarify where the FOS stand on a policy being added to an account in 2000 without being requested and being cancelled in 2008 when discovered by me what this payment was.( lesson learnt read statements don't just pay amount shown!)
I know it is more than 6 years ago but it was a monthly premium and only discovered 4 months ago.
What do you think?
Hasn't got that far yet they might just admit to this and give me the money I just want to know my options.DS1 12/10/04

hi di and everyone, had a letter from l v yesturday saying that i am not entitled to a ppi refund.they are saying that a discount of the ppi was taken into consideration when i paid off my loan earlier.have scanned the letter into my computer but dont know how to get it on here?
Hi Wayne
I am sorry to hear of this news hun, but do not despair, we will have them.
Now please remind me when this loan was taken out ?
(It wasn't that long ago was it if I remember rightly)?
And if you don't mind what did you actually put in your letter ?
We may need to make it stronger, so no giving up on this okay, they are fobbing you off as a standard response to your letter.
If you have saved anything on your computer on this case, can you copy and paste it here, not to forget about removing your personal details etc.
We can work on the next step from this and make sure we get better feedback from these on their final letter.
You are unable to attach attachments on here but if anyway you can copy and paste that will be cool, or maybe you could just let me know what you did actually add in your first letter you sent to these.
Don't know if you know but LV have recently been fined for mis selling these PPI products so we have something else to add in if the date fits in, but not to worry we will make sure the next letter is stronger and only give them a shorter time considering they have already had 8 weeks to respond on this one.
Did they mention anything about the Financial Ombudsman Service on this actual letter hun ?
I look forward to hearing from you, keep that chin up, I promise you we still have further avenues to take yet on these.;)

Hi Marshallka
Am so sorry can you get in touch with trading standards to get them to look into this company see if they have had other complaints. I do not understand why they sent the money to the nominated agents when you had claimed yourself. Is it cause the other people sent the paperwork to them even though you said do not.
Have you got copies of any correspondence.0 -

I am in a dilemma today as some time ago in May of this year i tried to claim back tax credits owed for 2002/03 that were unclaimed and used this site at first http://www.taxcredits.org.uk/. I later realised this was nothing to do with HMRC (it does look very official). Anyway i sent off the forms to them and then the next day after research realised i could have done this myself and that they were charging £94 for it. I telephoned them and eventually got through (this was the day after sending the forms) and told told them that i did not want to claim through them. They said they had destroyed the forms. I then on that same day wrote to HMRC 30th may,2008 and claimed myself. I rang lots of times and HMRC said they never received my letter. I then sent another out recorded delivery in July as my first had got mislayed. I had never sent anything recorded when my husband was self employed and we sent cheques and they always received them:rolleyes: .
Anyway i know this is nothing to do with the thread but i have been in tears all morning as i have received a letter first thing this morning from the HMRC to say our cheque has been sent to our nominated agent £597.00. I have tried to ring this company and its answerphone all the time. Their website has no address but i have found an addy on companies house. They have nvever acknowledged our letters and I think i have been ripped off again. I don't think i can take anymore.
I don't know about helping others as i can't even help myself.
Hi hun
Just read this now and am so sorry to hear of the running around you have been doing regarding these muppets...... .
Is there another department (higher than these ) to take this issue further hunni ?
This is so absurd !
They owe you big time here and for all the stress and inconvenience they have caused, they are flipping pathetic !!!
Silly thing for me to say right now hun but I do hope your okay.

Customers will now receive automatic refunds of the interest paid on the PPI premium without having to make a claim, and will receive letters asking them to review their policy to check they are happy with it.

OMG  , wasters  !!
Surely what they have done is wrong, sorry if I have missed something here hun, I have not had the chance to read thoroughly through these threads properly yet but was this so called agency supposed to be helping you here ?
Or did they claim they dealt with these situations ?
Crikey this is not right, do you know if anyone else from the benefits/tax credit forums have heard of these by any chance ?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
