Have posted this in the successes thread but am posting here aswell to say thanks for all the help given in this thread.

Confused but happy at the same time...........

I have several complaints with FO since March/April time which are still awaiting allocation. But I got a letter from FO today regarding by PPI on HBOS loan which was sent at the beginning of August!
Anyway I have been offered the following -

Refund the balance of your ppi premiums plus interest back to your loan.
Arrange a new loan for the remaining outstanding debt, without insurance, over the remaining term using the same APR.
Refund any overpayments, equivalent to the ppi element plus interest charged each month to you directly.
Pay credit interest at 8% simple.

I'm still paying the loan and it is unfortunately with debt collectors but it still means my debt will be getting reduced (don't know by how much as yet tho).

So success at debt reduction if not cash in hand - thanks to all for the help and fingers crossed for the other claims!
    Well done anglewillow. :j

How did you manage to get this offer so soon with the FOS from August. Lets hope your others are also sorted soon.

Thanks hun, was this on companies house ?

I remember coming across the company reg number but its seems these are the ones you have added that dissolved, I cannot find the reg number on the paperwork I have, lost it somewhere, because I remember adding it a while back.....

Opened the first link no prb but the 2nd states error cannot open.
I thought this dissolved one was the one you had the original loan with DI.

Was this a different company number then??

That what I'm so confused about........this was one of the last two claims I submitted but is the first to come back with success.
All the FO said was 'having requested a copy of its file the business has written to us explaining that it is now willing to settle your compalint in the following manner'. Probably coz they didn't have a defence - took my money for a SAR but only sent statements, nothing else - so instead of admitting they had nothing to show have caved in straight away,to avoid getting into trouble maybe?
Wish others would do this aswell instead of just dragging things out as much as possible.

Opened the 2nd link finally lol, interesting to know the process of this, must save it, thanks hun.;)

Yep it more than likely is the same company dissolved, but having all these various names on the underwriting paperwork, its the reg numbers I'm after, just to be double sure that both us and the compliance guy has the right company of ours that did actually dissolve, because if he did not have any information on us, how would he be able to properly investigate this.

The existing Click was active as from 2001, but like I just said if I had told him on the first complaint reclaim letter 1Clickloans and not Click Finance, wonder what he would have said because I could have also mentioned these too meanings these are also on my paperwork.
Do you know what I mean hunni ?;)

    Wow, well done hun.....:j  ;) .

Blimey this one was quick - excellent.:D
Looks like the other side realised their mistake as soon as they were made aware this was in with the FOS perhaps ?;)

    Well done!

Re Click. Check the IDD, the Initial Closure Doc, which should have been issued at point of sale as this has the FSA number; and crosscheck. If different complain to FOS stating known info about Click. If FOS cannot recover a file they will have to uphold the complaint. FOS will then arrange payment either through any Professional Indemnity insurance held by Click before closure or thru the FSCS. If any Click directors are the same as the liquidated company we must assume they told the FSA. Or they have problems.

    You then added this yourself

    Click Finance
    Victoria House
    23 - 27 South Street
    Farnham
    Surrey
    GUP 7QU

At the top of the page it states '1 click Loan Ltd'
01252731171 (not sure if this is a serial number of not)

Then at the bottom of the page it states
Reg. Office: Carmellile (this bit not sure spelt right because its blemished)
50, Victoria Embankment, London EC4Y QDX or ODX
Reg In England No 1165160 or maybe it is 1185160 (need a magnifying glass here lol), so a bit of this and that really........

    and this
On my paperwork provided by Click it has 'Title Number' CWM158558, which means Castle Wealth Management Limited is a trading partner of the Click Group !!

Just refeshing your memory here. I know how confusing it can be:confused:

in some cases as soon as a claim gets to the FOS the business will state they'll pay everything back which means the claim doesn't go through the normal process

which would be ok if the now dissolved company had come under the jurisdiction of the FSA/FOS at the time of sale - which we know it wasn't - also the FSCS can't look at it as it was prior 15.01.2005

I'm at a loose end here with Click really I think, and if they are completely different companies altogether then I may as well lie back on this one, but if there was any possible chance of reclaiming this then all the better.

I only received underwriting work and the rest of it was the lenders paperwork Endeavour.

Why does the numbers 311 can't remember the rest of it come into my head, or would this be part of the FSA reg number for the existing Click perhaps ?

This is the active Click, here it states the previous name.

I also remember my husband was having a laugh on the phone to the girl/adviser about the "Bear Lane" part of the address, because she was spelling this out to him to make sure he did not write "Bare lane".
