Damn, I hate it when I miss calls and have to wait for the following day to get back to them..... .

Right to my knowledge they are quite similar when it comes to finance, but work in different ways.
Did you actually make any contact yourself to the FSA by any chance recently ?
They seem to have your contact number.......
It's sooooooooooooooooooo annoying - I can't really make calls at work (school) and will have to wait until the afternoon:confused: - She actually says the Financial Services Authority - about an email I sent. I can't remember (short term memory loss!!) unless i emailed them as to why FP have on their notices that they are 'unable to hold client money' and I wanted an explanantion - but anyway - I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow!!

    Thanks di,
The letter states that they are unable to withold my complaint, that they realise that this is not the response that I was loking for, and that I can take my complaint to the FOS, but it does not say it's their final response.

Maybe you could still write back to them hun and tell them that you have already taken this to the FOS,or getting prepared to do so, because I know you can still go ahead with this and send in a copy of their letter in with the FOS form, and even if the ombudsman still looks at the case the firm your complaining about can still change their minds and uphold this for you.;)

Then if your happy with an offer they may offer you, you just let the FOS know, if not your complaint is then already with the FOS.;)

Of course I had forgotten you work in a school...... .

I do recall on your mentioning about the FSA not so long ago and about "unable to hold client money", so its more than likely to be an explanation on that, but wonder why they cannot email you back with a response ?

If it does not say final response then you need to write back and perhaps !!! a bit more. I think sometimes this tactic is a delaying thing in that they get to keep the money a little longer. Just write again and then wait for their final and then take it to the FOS. Good luck

    Evening all,

Not have long but will fire what I can.

Starting with the "unable to hold client money":

You'll find that most small intermediary lenders and brokers will have this, It basically means that they are not allowed to hold customer desposits in designated accounts. The regulations for holding client money are onerous indeed, and normally require companies to hold increased Capital. There really is nothing suspicious about this and is very normal practice for smaller firms.
