    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning all,
I received my SAR info back from CSL on Saturday, there is no information in the paperwork about the PPI, but it is on the paperwork from halifax cetelem, who told me it is CSL who sold me the policy, do I just carry with my claim against CSL?

My original CCA has the PPI clearly broken down & the figures are all broken down, clearly showing amount of credit & amount of PPI.

its taken about 6 weeks from first adjudicator

we need to send the acceptance of findings back to FOS by 22 sept and NEMO have until then to send their form back to agree or disagree the decision will not change unless Nemo put forward new evidence even if they do dis agree again usually the decision is final and wont change.
so it is just stalling tactics but it just means more interest to pay.

thanks for that, i hope my decision stays the same fingers crossed

I am currently paying back a loan from barclays. It was over 5 years, i have 3 years left. I have read through all the info and I am certain I was mis sold the ppi.
I think the ppi was a single premium policy??
I would like to try and claim back the ppi i have paid up to yet, but I am worried as I use my barlcays bank account for all my finances.
can you claim back ppi when you are still paying off a loan ? and will it mess anything up with my barclays account ? :o

Hi OH has 3 PPI on 3 Loans
First taken out 2002 then refinanced early in 2004 then refinanced later in 2004. Settled December 2007.

All three went through FOS and complaint was upheld due to self-employed and health problems. Not making paperwork clear e.g. Premium insurance and not setting out exactly what was being paid. Also their terms and conditions did not state that it was optional.

    Good luck;)

just wanted to drop a note to regular users of the internet and email - friend of mine was sent an email proporting to be from UPS with a consignment number (I've since had them saying Airmail/ Western Union / Fedex etc etc) as she was waiting for a package to be delivered she opened the attachment - it produced a nasty virus that you could only get rid of if you paid $40 to the company who had sent her the hoax email in the first place - if you're a regular receiver of packages (ie from Ebay) please be aware of this new type of scam

    Hi tiggrae

Thanks for the warning I have had several of these come through on my various e mail accounts. Luckily I have not opened them as I knew I was not expecting any packages so thanks for warning.

  • Hello... I am a new blogger to the forum. Like many of you I am in a similiar situation trying to reclaim PPI. I have taken out loans with Black Horse Finance & Welcome Finance. Both cases have been with FOS for 8 months. Black Horse are refusing to payout although the FOS have upheld my claim. The case has been passed to the Ombudsman for a final decision. I thought that if the outcome is made in my favour that the decision from the Ombudsman is binding on the finance company. Can someone please clarify if this is correct? I am still waiting for an adjudicator for my claim against Welcome Finance. The FOS do have a backlog of claims however, the whole process does appear to take a long time as in both of my cases these claims were made against the companies back in October 2007.

For what??? We thought it strange that you post a firm of Solicitors on here that you say are the most well known. If you have taken offence to any of my postings then i sincerely apologise. No-one really likes anyone to advise on a particular firm and everyone is free to look into these things for themselves. We try to encourage people to make claims for themselves and if they cannot then to either go the Citizens Advice or find out for themselves who to use.

Please carry on posting, maybe just stop offering actual firms of solicitors and then no-one will think you are touting.

    Hi Marshallka

Good luck with daughter going to secondary school today. They never seem old enough do they.

My daughter starting college Thursday so have been charging about trying to get clothes for her (any excuse). Let us know how she gets on.

What they have done is actually illegal and there are lawyers who will recover the money for you without making any charges or deducting any fees from the money that they recover.

The best known is probably www.watsonssolicitors.co.uk

I have to agree with you here as I have used the DIY kit, got nowhere fast, eventually went to see a solicitor and they started getting a response straight away and I got my money back
