You are right we need to laugh at times.
Have a listen to this. I doubt you would have seen it on here. Posted it last week.

Both loans were 'approved in principle' by Portfield but Welcome claim that the loans and associated insurances were done by Portfield which is untrue as my employer notes that the request for confirmation of earnings was requested by Welcome and not Portfield as this was made on Welcome's paperwork. My view is that Portfield possibly packaged the loan and then referred it to one of their lenders i.e Welcome to proceed with it. I hope this makes sense Di x
Perhaps Marshallka or Tiggrae could shed some light?
Yes hun this does make sense.
I feel the FOS will realise this, they will come to the bottom of it and it will all come out.....;) , I'm sure this will resolve and it will eventually all go in your favour, either way, you have been mis sold, and like what Marshallka said, it seems like they are passing the buck - I agree and I feel the FOS will also realise this too.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I also rang them to complain the my outstanding amount seems to be going up rather than down. The have logged the complaint on their system for this and I'm posting the one for PPI on my way home from work tonight. Thanks a bunch, I'll keep you posted.
Gina Good luck and we look forward to hearing the outcome of this.
We will keep everything crossed for you.:D.

Last letter from them apologising for the delay was June according to my file so I need to call them again and chase them up. Back in June / July they were still working on cases from end 2007 and mine was start 2008 so it might be my turn soon!
We hope you hear very soon then hun and yes its worth giving them a nudge now and again.;)
Hopefully it will be your turn very soon. Good luck!

First Plus have said i will get their final responce and CD of the phone calls by Friday. If they have already told me they will send the CD does this mean i am going to get the knock back.

I am claiming for 2 seperate ppi policies for 2 loans. Can someone just have a quick look at this letter and see if anything needs adding or taking out. They have sent me a questionnaire but I am not sure I want to fill it in. Any help appreciated. Dave
Thank you for your letter dated 10 October 2008 regarding the sale of my Payment Protection Insurance policies with Lombard Direct.
I am unwilling to complete the Payment Protection Insurance Questionnaire enclosed with your letter and have returned this to you. You would already have these details if the sale of the PPI had been completed correctly.
Both loan applications were processed over the telephone to Lombard Direct.
Further to my original letter dated 1 October 2008, I believe I was missold both these policies for the following reasons:
My main concern is having recently looked at the paperwork for my loans I now realise I have been paying for insurance that I did not know I had taken out so could not have been explained to me.
Consequently, because Lombard Direct did not tell me any information about these policies:
- Lombard Direct did not tell me the PPI policies were optional.
- Lombard Direct did not inqure whether I had another policy with another provider that would cover my payments in the case of accident, sickness or redundancy.
- Lombard Direct did also not explain what the policies would and would not cover.
I would like to point out that although I may have been eligible for payment protection insurance when the agreements were started, this did not mean I wanted it added to my agreement without my consent.
Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid. As I believe I have been deprived of this money, I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made.
I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks of my original letter dated 1 October 2008 or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsmand to investigate my complaint.0 -

Hi Bluemoon
No it does not mean you will get the knock-back, you have requested for this disc and you should be provided with it.
We had ours from our loan company and the disc did actually help in our favour.;)
When you receive yours hun, make sure you listen in the quiet as much as possible, and if you think anything is missing from what you can remember then write it down.
Also if you notice something that can help you with your complaint, write down dates etc, put the disc in your computer and you will note on the screen that dates and times will come up of the days of all telephone contacts.;)
Good luck!
Di.
