Last letter from them apologising for the delay was June according to my file so I need to call them again and chase them up. Back in June / July they were still working on cases from end 2007 and mine was start 2008 so it might be my turn soon!
Good luck with Barclays FIrstplus though... Rooting for ya here.:D0 -

I also rang them to complain the my outstanding amount seems to be going up rather than down. The have logged the complaint on their system for this and I'm posting the one for PPI on my way home from work tonight. Thanks a bunch, I'll keep you posted.0

Both loans were 'approved in principle' by Portfield but Welcome claim that the loans and associated insurances were done by Portfield which is untrue as my employer notes that the request for confirmation of earnings was requested by Welcome and not Portfield as this was made on Welcome's paperwork. My view is that Portfield possibly packaged the loan and then referred it to one of their lenders i.e Welcome to proceed with it. I hope this makes sense Di x
Perhaps Marshallka or Tiggrae could shed some light?
Was one under the jurisdiction of the FOS and one not and the one that was not - are they accepting the misselling knowing that you have not got a chance of going to the FOS. When was this loan/PPI??
I always thought that our actual PPI was sold to us by FIrstplus and not by who they told us sold it as the ones that they told us sold it were not under FOS's jurisdiction.0 -

. If his employer was making the contributions for him then that would be classed as employed.
Hello again, sorry got confoosed .com a bit last night
His employer pays his tax (the employer owns his own building business), OH gets tax assessment forms to fill in every year. Class 4 NI is included in the tax that he pays, Class 2 NI I think is voluntary and he hasn't paid this for years. At the end of the tax year he gets self assessment forms to fill in and normally receives a tax rebate.
Hope that makes sense xxx
Do you think it's still worth a try?DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -

Definately worth a try but not to make the self employment the sole reason for this. You have to have other reasons too.0 -

You are right we need to laugh at times.
Have a listen to this. I doubt you would have seen it on here. Posted it last week.
