Hi guys,
Sorry if I am confusing you, the letter that I am asking your advise on is the response that I want to send to LLoyds in regards to the letter dated 25th July which I only received 25th September. Please let me know if I should send this to Lloyds or not. Thank you0 -
I have just thought again about the co-op complaints. If the adjudicator had found it in my favour then why would co-op make an "offer" and also why has this not been dealt with by the adjudicator. If they have "upheld" my complaint then surely I would have been informed here too before co-op made any offer. I now think this offer is a thing of "without admitting liability" we offer a few hundred quid. They cannot have even looked into this as the adjuducator has been off sick since the phone call so no-one has upheld anything here. I was informed today that another adjudicator was not allocated and that the manager of my orginal adjudicator was looking at it on her desk. All she said was that the co-op had made an offer and she would get someone to look at it and see if we should accept so to me nothing has actually been upheld or looked into at all.
I sent my case into the FOS for misselling and either its upheld or not but I am pretty annoyed if because of this adjudicator being ill and not being passed to another I am now going to have to either accept this "offer" or not without it going back to the FOS and back in the queue.
I have never heard of "offers" to the FOS. I thought their job was to adjudicate the misselling and to either agree or disagree to it. They do not usually get "offers". I feel soo let down by the FOS again. I know illness cannot be helped but its probably cost me here.0 -

I am writing to you in regards to your letter dated 25th July which I never received until you sent a copy of it with your last letter. I do not feel your letter has offered a satisfactory justification that my policy was sold fairly, reasonably and within my best interests for the reasons below:
The PPI was mentioned but your adviser did not tell explain to me the full cost of the product, which is very costly and I could have looked elsewhere for a cheaper option if I was told this was optional which I was not. Nor was I made aware that the single premium policy was in fact another loan to pay for and that I would be charged interest on top of this for the full term of the loan.
Due to the time span of when I initially took out this loan, I no longer have the policy document. I did request this in my initial letter, but to date have still not received a copy. As I was self employed I would like to see evidence that I would be covered under the unemployment benefits section.
Finally, you stated that I elected to protect my risks by purchasing an insurance contract for a one-off premium of £2344.59 . Again I would like to have a copy of the phone conversation as I was not informed that it was a one off premium and the loan agreement form was pre-ticked by a computer not by myself.
With regards to your letter dated 25th July 2008 (which incidently I did not receive until a copy was sent with your last letter), suffice to say I do not feel your letter has offered a satisfactory justification my policy was sold fairly, reasonably and within my best financial interests for the reasons stated below:
The PPI was mentioned during the sales process, but your adviser failed to explain the full cost of the product, (which is VERY costly) and I the fact I could have had an alterative, monthly option which would have been cheaper. I was never told the policy was optional, nor was I made aware the single premium policy was in fact another loan to pay for and I would be charged interest on top of this for the full term of the loan.

Also ask Lloyds to provide you with a final response without delay.

I do see what your saying hun, and I was thinking because you would have sent your complaint letters to the CO-OP before they went to the FOS, maybe it will not just be the hundreds, and that of what you mentioned on your complaint, did you mention any figures on your complaint to them? and the FOS will want to see if this is fair or not too I expect before they send you a letter ......, maybe, but not certain here to be honest but if the FOS are willing to take on your case, then you will then have the chance to refuse if its not the offer you want.;)
Fingers crossed its the full amounts on all.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Marshallka
This looks like whilst it has been sitting on the adjudicators desk correspondence has come in and they are now going through it and trying to sort it. If it has been UPHELD then they would surely have given Co op a way of settling the matter. In my case the FOS did not check the figures but just acted as mediators. They just told me it was settled in the usual way.
That is why I am still fighting the matter and still being ignored by Barclays:eek: Also Marshallka Make sure your /their figures are correct if the loans were re-financed (but I am sure you will do that anyway):D:mad:0 -
Hi, first post..
Just been reading this and want to claim back my ppi from bank of scotland.
The documents arrived by courier, and the ppi was included, so as i needed the loan, i didnt have time to dispute this.
My letter is as follows, how does it look?I purchased the above policy from you in 2002 but now believe that I was mis-sold this policy for the following:
This is due to the fact that I was not given the correct information when the policy was sold to me,
- Your salesperson did not give me any information on what the policy would and would not cover.
- I am concerned the sales assistant that sold me the policy had no financial background and the policy was not sold in my best interests.
- The ppi was included in the documents sent by the courier, and as the loan was urgently required, I was not able to dispute this at the time. I do not recall requesting payment insurance.
Unless you can satisfactorily justify to me that the policy was fair and reasonable I am requesting a full refund of all premiums, and subsequent interest on these payments, that I have paid to date. As I believe I have been deprived of this money I also expect 8% statutory interest, the amount a court would award, to be added to each payment made.
I look forward to a full and prompt response to this letter and for the matter to be concluded within eight weeks or I shall be contacting the Financial Ombudsman to investigate my complaint.
Also, please could you ensure your only contact is by way of letter.
Yours faithfully,

Hi Pinknico that is what they did with mine even when I complained and asked them to check they would not they just passed it back to the bank to check/ They kept saying their figures were correct even though only two of the loans had been refunded. They treated them as separate entities when they were working out their figures. They were all refinanced and they had not taken that into account. I kept trying to tell them that and with Tiggraes wording they have finally understood my point and put it back to the bank. They have taken at least 4 weeks so far to review their figures:mad:0
