I lie in bed each night worrying have I done this right and have I done that right and has this happened cause of how I bought up my kids. Are they going to be OK. I have to keep telling myelf I am just a "good enough" mother and not anything special and it works better than trying to be "supermum".

Quite agree there. My kids obviously do not have the same opinion of me every weekend I have a house load of their friends round. I have to do a head count every now and again in case we have a fire am thinking of getting signing in book.

Only way I can tell how many kids are here is counting the pairs of shoes in the lobby.:rotfl:

I am confused here if his employer pays the contributions then this could be classed as employed as self employment the tax and NI is left to you??

The only exemptions are very low earners...
I agree, I don't think toffee penny's claim should be based upon being self employed as in your OH case it appears to be a grey area ! It needs to be based upon the fact he thought he would be covered for every eventuality and not have to go out of business to claim the cover
  • Right have posted my letter so i will now wait and see what she comes back with.

Right my adjudicator has never returned to work again:eek: since speaking with me (Must of given him stress...) No really, he never did return I am now being told so my case is being passed to another person. I did speak to his manager today who informed me that the Co-op have made an offer and she did not know what it was and that they would look at it and see if it was something that I should accept or not. I asked about what loans they had been made an offer on and whether it was all four but she did not know. I then asked if she could find out the amount but she could not but said maybe by the end of the week she would be able to tell us. I have a feeling now that this is for only one loan or even a goodwill gesture of peanuts as these were adamant that I should have been aware within 3 years and I was not.

Just going to have to wait now.... Its going to kill me here.

    Good luck.

Hope you get good news soon
  • another question for you all.

I tried to claim late charges and ppi back from my catalogues.

They werent covered by FSA or any one else at time so have been told by them and FOS that I cant go to financial ombudsman.

Can I still take em to court?

Just working out if all my complaints for the co-op are being looked into and working the stat interest out and doing prints. I have a feeling though that this is going to be a goodwill thing and an amount for one loan only:confused: .

Still going to do this as I want to know just in case.

Just worked out my loans and what is due back if 3 were missold (can't work the 4th as they have not sent rebate to me???)

    2002 £2673.39
    2001 £1709.44
    1999 £1777.19
1997 (ONLY GOT AGREEMENT and doubt they will look into this one although don't know yet...I can only but hope but probably another £2500 to £3000.)

These figures include the statutory interest too. I did request this but with the adjudicator being off work I bet they have not asked for that and they already have the offer??

Looking at that an offer would not be accepted below £6K if they say they have looked at the 3 above. Have to wait and see.
