Also they say i took this out in their southampton branch which is about a million miles to where i did take it out, do you think this might help atall with the fos.0 -
marshallka wrote: »It could be that branch that held all the details on you. Our co-op branch is in manchester not where we live.
Yes Marshallka, I did think that too, so all the information/accounts etc is within the main branch, for example when we were mis sold our Credit cards by our own bank, , the main offices we write to is not them but the head office as they call it, as its them that can provide the details only if needed.
There may be a little confusion somewhere where they have added on Money_back's letter that Southampton dealt with it but maybe......just maybe they did mean that they investigated the complaint and not arranged the loan, so it maybe worth money_back just double checking into this, what do you think hun, or do you think its time just to get on to the FOS ?
Thanks hun I just want to make sure I am advising the right thing, cheers.:DThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Di, can I ask how long your ones with Lloyds have been with the FO?0

Hi hun, lol, just posted a reply to this over at the success thread also lol, but not to worry and here it is.......:D
Hi there Angelwillow and not a problem.
June 2008 they received the complaint and I received a phone call towards the end of September from the adjudicators to tell me he is now looking at my complaint, I did not request for fast track until early September but still not sure if this is done by fast track or not really as I did not think to ask at the time, yet being in the same situation as hubby's who's lloyds complaints are separate to mine he has not heard anything about fast track and its down to his problem of why we requested it........, just a waiting game now though.
I suppose it can vary maybe with who deals with what complaints, because even though its still a PPI credit card complaint and its our bank, maybe they deal with outside loan companies differently, where there are so many complaints in about the same company, for example my Nemo case taken 14 months from start to finish....... .The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Thanks Marshallka.;)
So Money_back please if you get to read Marshallka's feedback about this I think it would be a good idea to just do that.;)

Myself and Marshallka had added some links on here the other day about the FOS, some useful information of what complaints they deal with and various info, when you have the chance to go through the threads hun check them out, there may be some useful information about timescales, I'm sure I had come across some of them as well.
If your unable to find them let me know as I will add again, other than that if you go on to the FOS website if you have not already done so, they have a search panel box where you can add "case studies" which I found very interesting.
This way you can expand in what complaints you want to check out which may give you some examples of some upheld complaints etc etc.
I normally just add "ppi case studies".;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi hun
I would contact the telephone number of the loan company who sent you the letter and ask them what they meant about them stating that Southampton had dealt with this, you need to tell them that it was actually arranged by so and so branch where you live, if that was the case, and not actually by Southampton, they do need to make it clear to you.
If they state that it was Southampton who arranged this, you do need to confirm that this was impossible as its a very long long way from you etc.
Was this arranged loan arranged in the actual branch or over the telephone by any chance ?
Then from there if they cannot help you any further and say they will not look in this again I would then move on to the FOS.
So give them a ring tomorrow hun and ask them what they meant about Southampton, you need to clarify how it was sold to you, I would personally though put it back in writing and tell them you would appreciate another written response to this within 7 days as its only a query, but at least you will have everything in writing in case this has to be moved on to the FOS.
Hope this helps hun, if not please just let us know.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Just reading back on Marshallka's post, I think what she has advised is do that.
Double check who dealt with your loan sale.
Get a complaint form done anyway (FOS).
Any information can be sent on to the FOS afterwards to back your complaint.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
