Just that it's been 4 weeks now and not even a 'this is how we have calculated things' letter never mind a cheque?
Hi Angelwillow
My experience is they wait the full six weeks then you will send you a figure if you are lucky they will send their working out. If not ask for it so you can check it. If you are not sure post it on here and somebody will check it.
Have had no specific dealing with HBOS but seems the norm with most of them. Saying that A and L have paid me back more than I worked out:j
Just be patient and am sure it will be fine:cool::mad:0 -

Quick question, sorry it its in the wrong place, new to all this
I have a credit card account with MBNA opened in 2000. I requested a CCA from them and recieved back my original application form(?). On the form i have clearly not ticked either the Yes or No box for PPI, the end of the PPI paragraph about this is worded "We strongly recomend that you take out this cover, for cover just tick the Yes box".
Do I have a claim for the PPI I have paid, and would this be from 2000 when i took out the card or just the last 6 years.
I think my next step if i do, is to request all statements etc and set to working out how much they owe me. Is this the right way to go?
thanks0 -

Hi there
Apologies for the delay in responding.
It seems like you have grounds to complain, so get a reclaim letter in, please check out this link here which goes for any mis selling, there could even be more reasons of why this was mis sold to you, there is also a template reclaim letter on this link below, they have 8 weeks to respond to you, if unsuccessful let us know as there are further steps that can be taken.

I would not worry at this stage about the calculations, they can be sorted at a later date, because if mis sold hun they will have to pay back every penny of the ppi gone into this plus 8% stat interest. If successful they will or should send you figures where will show how this is worked out but it can always be added on here when the time comes to have this checked over.
Good luck and if you require further info hunni, please get back anytime.;)

Just had a knock back from hfc for ppi on a loan i took out in 2001, they told me i signed various paperwork agreeing to it and they did'nt have to comply with fsa as the rules did'nt come into force till later. They have said to go to the fos if i want but i am a bit confused, will they look as it as the loan is so old/over 6 years old.
Anyone know anything about this thanks.Studio, MBNA - Paid out

I purchased the above policy from you in September 2000 but now believe that I was mis-sold this policy as having recently looked at the paperwork for my credit card (the original application form sent to me following my recent request for a Consumer Credit Agreement) I now realise that I have been paying for insurance that I did not know I had taken out so could not have been explained to me. On the application form I did not tick the YES box for this protection. The paragraph on the application form also fails to provide full details of what the policy would and would not cover.0 -
