But I created it Di and that is how they may look at it. (although certainly not on purpose!!) I don't want to make anything more of it now. They have made me look stupid here and probably I am going to be in the percentage of losers up above. I can't fight the Ombudsman. I just thought emailing them was OK and probably you cannot do that even when you ask for read receipts. I wish someone had told me everything has to be in writing before and then perhaps I would not be where I am now. Emails are out for me and telephone calls too leaving messages on voicemail. I assume now you are not allowed to get in touch with the adjudicator as they are probably too busy but would be nice if they could at least say on the answerphone bit that they will not be able to reply as they are too busy or that they are not taking phone calls so please do not leave a message. Sometimes all people want is a reassurance. I know i did.

It got to the stage I emailed everyday to the FOS especially towards the end of my claim, I would say 8 maybe 9 months of my case being with them as I felt it would never end, so with some information I was worried they were not receiving it, so then sent the info by hardcopy - recorded post.

I did also get to learn that the adjudicator dealing with ours worked 3 days a week one week then twice a week on the other, and can see why now our complaints are not getting done as quickly as they could be...... .

I do think though they will look and realise your point on your complaint though hun, but sit back for now and put it in the back of your mind for now, I know this can be difficult as you have not been well and this does not help the situation.

I have everything crossed for you and you know where I am.......anytime.;)

    Hi All

Have just worked out my PPI return from A and L. I posted it last week and was concerned about the working out formulae they used. Still do not understand it:confused: but I like it very much.

They have worked out PPI on credit card dating back to 1/11/03 £1767.33 plus interest £1164.46 total £2931.79. Paid back into CC account which has now cleared this.

I worked it out using bank calculator £1767.33 plus interest 399.27 = £2166.60 so am going to accept their figures:D

My other A and L cc card goes back to 2005 so am awaiting a letter from them saying they are going to pay it back, at moment with FOS but nothing has happened with this one.:T

I think these were actually fined weren't they??
  • Anyone had a decision from FOS regarding HBOS saying they have 6 weeks to get in touch and pay funds back? Do they tend to take the full 6 weeks?
Just that it's been 4 weeks now and not even a 'this is how we have calculated things' letter never mind a cheque?
