    The PPI element was 19.91%

You made 30 repayments and 19.91% of each repayment is 24.51. So

    30 x 24.51 = 735.30
    Actual PPI was 1470.60 - repayments 735.30 - rebate 235.68 = 499.62

499.62 + 735.30 = 1234.92 is what the PPI cost on the first loan. Don't know how to work the second one out though. Sorry but tried. I will have to learn more...try it later.

Thanks for that - - does this mean that he is still due £122 on the first part..
or it may be that they have disregarded the first part of the loan - and refunded interest on the balance transfered. If so - he will still be due the £499. Does this make sense?

Haven't had my usual monthly letter from the FOS saying that they haven't been able to assign an adjudicator yet. Wondering if this is a good thing or bad....

Hmmmm, send them an email hun next Monday or maybe a phone call, they maybe able to update you on the current situation.
How long has your complaint been with them hun ?

I think they are behind but yet if you have not already come across the post on here, they have taken on new Adjudicators, so fingers crossed the complaints will be moved on soon.

Been since 2nd June, so not that long compared to many but was thinking, if they have taken new people on, hopefully they have delayed writing the usual letters because they can allocate some more cases. What you reckon?

Yes it did come to mind hun, you could be right, if you have not heard anything by early next week then maybe a phone call will do no harm, I do see your point.;)
