  • An earlier correspondent recommended MobileUnlocked.co.uk. I've just used them to unlock a Desire HD from T-Mobile and their service was quick easy jargon - free and at £10.99 I thought pretty good value. They delivered exactly what they said when they said they would.

    Hi people
I have 2 old Nokia 6230 is locked to Orange and TMobile, whcih iw ould like to unlock.

Tried to get unlock code from the links on the main site but the trycktill link doesnt work, and the Unlock Nokiafree one doesnt reveal any codes - - just a page of adverts for FB etc. (and what is GEN and GID1 please?)

What's going on ? Do these sites work or just not for these old phones?

my wife's mobile has stopped working. Our son has offered her his castoff Samsung Galaxy Ace S5839i but it is locked to 3 and she has an O2 sim. We are confused by the myriad unlock offers some say you need to root it first, whatever that means, others just offer an unlock code at a range of prices. anyone got any advice please?

What is the cheapest way of unlocking a Nokia 920 on Orange? Fifty quid seems rather steep to me!

    £34.99 From here

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unlock-code-Nokia-Lumia-620-710-510-800-820-900-920-610-Orange-T-Mobile-EE-UK-/181181947763?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a2f491f73

It might be worth a phone call to Orange as well to see what price they will supply you with the unlock code for.

Unfortunately Orange won't unlock the phone as it's not six months old (despite the agent stating in store it could be unlocked after three months). I'm not a massive fan of EE currently!
  • Noting that 3 are offering really low cost sms messages compared with Orange I'm inclined to get a 3 sim. My PAYG Samsung S2 is locked to Orange. What's the best way to unlock it. I've had it for over 6 months and rather resent paying through the nose for Orange to do it. Thanks
  • Hi I have an old blackberry, well not that old, a 9780 I think from my previous employer. They didn't want it back when I left they just gave me a recycling address to send it to. I never bothered then to start to use it as a personal phone because when I had their corporate vodafone sim it stopped access to social media sites.

However my current personal phone has expired and I am now wondering if I get it this blackberry unlocked (it does need unlocking) and put my personal SIM in it whether I can then get full access the phone features and full web access without the corporate sim blocking them. Also will my old employer get "electronic wind" of it somehow and be able to block me from using it in any way?

    Appreciate any help.
  • Hi all,

I have an Iphone 4 which is locked into a contract with Orange.

However I would like to change to pay as you go with "Three"

I recently updated the OS to OS7 and have read that it is not possible to jailbreak this OS yet and apparently an iphone needs to be jailbroken before it can be unlocked.

I also read its impossible to go back to the previous operating system from OS7.

So, is there any way that I could get the phone unlocked? Could I restore factory settings maybe and revert back to an earlier OS?

    Thanks.
