Morning All!
I'm cold this morning, and no hot water again. Had my boiler serviced last Thurs, and it's not been right since. Plumber came back and thought it was fixed, but no, it's gone again! Got to phone him in a minute. He's a lovely guy, been using him for 10 years, so it's not his fault. Boiler is old tho. It was here when we moved in, so it's about 20 years old. Can't afford a new one tho. About £2000 according to the plumber:eek:
Picked up DS from camping. Very sorry sight! Muddy, frozen and wet! Took him all day to dry out.:rotfl: Hope it's better in June, cant go up to Donnington park to get him!:rotfl:

Morning Everyone
(((Hugs))) to PP, Catz and anybody who needs them.
DD had a relapse yesterday and spent most of the afternoon asleep on the couch. I managed to catch up on the washing in the basket. Today I've got my bedding in a hot wash to kill any bugs and then I'm going to clean the fridge out as dh just filled it up fresh food without sorting out anything on its way out. Better go DD is being a madam looks like I could be in for a fun day
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning
DD had me up between 4 and 5 this morning so i'm a bit like a zombie :rotfl: the upside being i have done loads already (even had a shower  ) and its only 8.40.
venturing out today for a little while so looking forward to the fresh air.
hope everyone has a great day love Nic0 -
Morning all, am ailing still. Woke in the night and temp was nearly 102 and I ached all over. Got some med and am feeling a bit better, but not normal. Shal just be lolling around today. Sleeping a bit, can't be doing with day time telly though! Will find something to read.
DS well enough to go back to school today, but not do games, as his peak flow is still very low. DD is now off. DH hoping he doesn't get another dose of whatever we have...he's a contractor, so doesn't get paid if he doesn't work. Nothing he can do about it though, is there.
Hope everyone else who is poorly is on the mend,"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Hello to blueneleh, welcome to the daily
Good luck for your scan results today PP
Martyn, glad you are feeling more postive, we're all here when you need to offload
Hope you feel better soon Purpleivy!
Really tired this morning and am a bit slow getting around due to SPD, more of a shuffle around really! I've got my first app at physio this afternoon so hopefully that will help to keep things under control a bit, rather than getting like i did with DD.
Baby's car seat arrived yesterdayIts a Britax rock-a-tot, same as i had for DD in a gorgeous fabric with tiny little baby feet all over it. Apparantly thats a 2007 fabric and they've bought out a new one now so i got it for £50 from £100 from Toysrus - very MSE!! Me and DD have been putting teddies in it to see how it looks lol
Just having some breakfast now and then for dinner i'm going to make a frittata to have with salad. Haven't thought about tea yet, nothing fancy though as OH is away and me and DD can do perfectly well without meat lol. Trying to get some space in the freezer that i can refill by batch cooking for when i'm in hosp and for the first couple of weeks after jellybean
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all  Hugs for those that need them and greetings to new people. Its cold and foggy here, and I'm stuck in work already ... urgghh. Boss is still away though, so that's some reprieve. I have loads to do to day and have very little power in my left arm, which makes for a painful day with some of the instruments.
I have pins and needles in my hands now too and the codiene just isn't touching it. OH has managed to fix an appointment at the mediators for next week - so it might just be that she couldn't make the day (rather than the "you give me what I need for residency first") like I was (cynically) expecting. Still, at least by being cynical I'm never disappointed. We'll have to see how it goes. It's actually quite good though as it gives OH time to get some extra documents sent from Germany stating the level of his student loan back home, so he can add this to the already horrific debt total.
Pen-pin - Good luck with the scan, we'll be thinking of you.
mrs-mix - hope your dad is feeling better today
Martyn - it's good to see you back. Hope the motorhome is fit and shiny after her service. Glad the tablets are helping a bit.
hilstep - hope the plumbing works out okay.
joannasmum - hope your DD gets better
Catz - sorry about your kitty
I dusted off the raclette grill and let them cook their own tea last night. Was quite fun (although I did leave them with the washing up) I made a batch of twinks hobnobs then divided the mixture and flavoured them, so I ended up with 12 maple syrup, 12 peanut butter, 12 nutella (these are amazing and soft!) 12 fruit, 12 ginger and 6 chocolate chip. I was amazed to get so many out of the mixture (I don't make them very big, but even so)
Yesterday's :rotfl: quotes from my vistors... "Do all sentances in English end in please, thank you or sorry?" "Does everyone say thank you to the bus driver?" bless.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
good morning folks!!!
what a palarva yesterday was..
after all my running around an stuff i decided i was going to make a syrup sponge pudding and i wanted to bake bread.
i did the hovis mix exactly how it said and it was crap... they were rock hard and id done them on greaseproof paper... god im thick sometimes
next the syrup sponge pudding, i decided to change into lemon curd one. used lastbit of cling film and when it had finished in the microwave i put a cocktail stick through it, fine and dandy. thought i was being fancy by turning it upside down onto a plate... it wasnt cooked by the lemon curd so i had a mound of cooked pudding, a river of raw cake batter and lemon curd all mixing on a plate. i had no more cling film so it had to go back in the microwave like that, took about 8 ,1 mins to get it done:o
it was nice though:D
after that i kind of gave up and went to bed lol.
ive got the mother of all bombsites in replace of my kitchen, and theres crud everywhere
got loads to do today though, ive got a driving lesson tommorow so i need to get everything out the utility room as new tumble dryers coming while im on my lesson:D lucky other half has to deal with the delivery blokes:D i hate that so im happy lol.
il post again in a bit after ive had a cup of tea:D
hugs to anybody who needs them, i will read posts in a min when ive got my hotness in my hand lol
