Afternoon All, including the Newbies.
Not been around for the last couple of days so have just caught up with the thread.
Hugs to PenPin, good luck today.
Smoky you are doing brilliantly, allow youself time, cause it will take lots.
Hugs to Martyn- you know why?!
Today OS wise I have achieved ... hmm let me think - oh I know the BM has been on! Oh and I have dug out all my old clothes ready to give to charity, tried some of them on and thought wow was I ever that slim!! Was a bit depressing really!! :rotfl:
DS is out playing but keeps coming in to check his new Chinese Hamsters are ok, they of course are sleeping! We got them yesterday completely spur of the moment as an early birthday present for him (his birthday isn't til May!!). He can't wait to hold them but they have to be left alone for a couple of days to get used to their new environment, try telling an 8 yr old to leave something alone - mind you I can't wait either!!!:D
Right, time for a coffee and think about what's for dinner!
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

:hello: afternoon everyone. special :hello: to n9eav and his sailing.
the days are just running away with me these days. thank you to everyone who expressed concern over my errant mr gin and his <ahem> police problem.
mr gin is working away for a few days. he tried to make up by taking our eldest to school for me on monday while i was at work. unfortunately he forgot to send her in with the lovingly chopped and peeled carrot for her snack and instead gave her the manky old carrot he had chopped for his ferrets and left in the fridge for a week.
today i have got everyone sorted and off to school and playgroup, done two loads of washing and put it on the line, tidied the front room and gone to mass as it was the eldest's class mass and she had a 'speaking part'. next is the horror of the supermarket, as i only need a few bits so am not spending enough to use a tesco code. probably. a good friend has just had a little girl this morning, poppy, so that is fabulous news and an excuse to shop for little pink clothes!!!
hugs to catznine, losing a pet is awful. i just came in the front room to find my youngest (9 months) sharing the chopped sausage and chips she was having for lunch with our elderly cat. serves me right for letting her eat it on the floor.
hope everyone is having a good day. sunny and bright here in cardiff, a lovely change from the rain we have been having.0 -

Well,im back to being a kid again!!!!!!!:j purely because ive been to moms and tots today and weve had a foam party:j Apparntly its good for the kids to feel textures and squigging it in there hands and stuff like that but,me and DD2 went a bit further. It was like a scene from "thers something about mary"for those who have saw the film-foam in my hair[i looked like Cameron diaz-well ok i didnt but like on the film] and we were covered in it,dd2 rubbed it in my hair, her hair, all over her cothes and my clothes gave me a big foamy kiss and a cuddle of foamy hands!!!!!!we had really good fun!!!!So when we got home it was time for a bath,so we had a bath, put her sleepy-suit on,had some lunch and shes fast asleep in her pushchair-shes reall tired out!!:A
so im off to enjoy a well deserved cup of tea and ill see you all later xxxWhen you read my posts, think Barry from Auf weidersehen pet...I sound just like him:rotfl:

Hi
I,m not sure how to use these talk threads but after reading this one for a few days and seeing how caring everyone is I felt that I had to try to join in. The support everyone has given Smokey is tremendous.
So if noone minds I'll try to contribute on occasions. I have a DH (presume that means dear husband!!!) a DS 14 and a DD 12. i am new to money saving but as I have 18,000 credit card debt desperately need to do something. My estimated DF date is Jan 20012 - just in time for DS to go to university!
I am not a good cook and struggle to keep spending down but am inspired by you all.
Would love to benefit from your advice and hugs!!!
Wiseowl by the way is a referral to my Guiding links - anyone else similarly occupied ( I am due my 30years long service badge in May).
Thanks for listening I can waffle too!!:rotfl:0 -

Hello wiseowl!:hello:
Lyndsay
Tut! A slow cooker OR a breadmaker! The correct answer is of course - both!!!!lol
If you have a look on freecycle they would not cost you anything!
Have just had all gas appliances serviced for this year and DH is happy because I made lentil soup again in the slowcooker.
Cold here and it is trying to rain so hot soup was much appreciated.
Martyn
Glad you sound much chirpier.
PennyP
Good luck with the scan later this afternoon.
(((smokey)))
Most of the soup has now been scoffed so need to make something else for tonight.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Morning all - well it is for me - woke up 20 minutes ago. don't feel as bad as I did last night but still a bit rough - the house is a tip as dd(11) has been in charge - this has mostly involved living on easter eggs and participating in a dr who dvd watching marathon. I have just taught her a valuable lesson in life - how to make her mumsy a nice cup of tea. A bit more practice needed methinks but she has the makings of an expert. well will spend a couple of hours cleaning and then probably go back to bed.
The best of luck Pen-PinI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
