Afternoon all
Did you miss me
Smoky am still thinking of you hope that things will soon become a bit more sunnier for you all as for keeping things i kept a bottle of old spice that we found in the cupboard as i can remember the smell on my dad from when i was a child in the 70s and when i have a quick sniff i remember all the cuddles and the good times
Havent caught up with the thread as only got back yesterday so hugs to all those who need them
Belated Birthday wishes to all those people and littlies that I have missed
will catch up more tomorrow or maybe later as need to un pack and do 5 cases worth of clothes:mad:0 -
Afternoon Guys!
Have just put the oven on for the chicken and OH peeled the spuds before he left. I have found some roasting veg in the freezer, so will do that instead as it will be easier for me to do.
OH text to say that they are having a great day and are at the Imax cinema watching a film. They have been to the galleries and wondered round a few shops.
My friend wasnt able to come round as she wasnt feeling too well and didnt want to give me anything. I have been asleep for most the day anyway so not a problem.
I have a scan tomorrow which I am really worried about. It will answer a lot of questions whether it be good or bad news. DD will be staying with a friend as I dont want her to be there. I am hoping that they will tell me tomorrow though as I dont think I can cope with more waiting. OH has really been worrying over the weekend about me and with his gran dying, it has made him quite morbid which has made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I am used to him being strong, but understand he needs to grieve. Her funeral is in just over 2 weeks.
OH has just text to say they are on their way home, so better get the spuds on to par-boil.
Apologies if my post is depressing but have been feeling quite low recently and dont like burdening others. I hope you dont mind.
Love to all.
PP

Hello
Back home after a hard day's work. Almost forgot to get my BIL a birthday card:o But remembered just in time. Change gave me a couple of £2 coins so they can go in their own jar. Also got a 5p for that jar and a 2p
Got sausages for dinner. And Mum's going to do some baking soon

Hi guy's I'm here
it's been a bit manic over the past few days I've managed to read but not a lot else
as some of you know my dad came home from care last week and in that time has gone really downhill to the point that today when I went over I thought he had died but he is just so poorly the doctor has been out and he's been admitted back into hospital he's got to have a lot of test's and intravenous antibiotics and possibly blood transfusions
I've just about managed to keep things going at home as well
hope every one is ok
(((((((hugs)))))))))) to smokey

pam xxI didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

Hello to lumpy-bum (how many of us should have claimed that name?!love it!) and janey-d.
tired mum welcome back. How was Margarita Island? Looked fabulous in the link you posted.
Mellika wish I could have a mega-sleepathon like that. I have lost the knack of having a lie-in. Hope you feel better for all that sleep.
mrs mix (((hugs))) to you and your DDad. Hope the hospital stay helps him enormously.
I *think* this might be my 1000th post :j so it seems right to post it here as this is where I make most of my posts.
Got quite a few little jobs done today but I now really need to get that chilli started and DD is sulking as I haven't started helping her yet with her project. Will do that now. (((hugs))) to everyone who needs one. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Sorry to hear you are feeling down PP, and don't apologise. We all come here and unburden ourselves one way or another and if you feel that it helps, then go ahead. I dont think you will find one person on here who wouldn't want you to get something off your chest if you needed to.
Finished my ironing, even managed to iron stuff that I put on the line this morning which makes the pile left over a little smaller than it would have been!!
Had my Tesco shopping delivered. This is the third week I have been able to use a code from the discount board so well pleased with that.
Have a good afternoon everyone0 -

You keep posting PenPin! we don't mind at all, would rather you posted on here when you are low than sat just thinking about it, must be hard at the moment because I expect you don't want to burden your OH as he is sad about his gran, remember you can always count on us here. Although I don't always post on the daily I do always read it and I think of it as a sorta big coffee morning where you would discuss with your friends if things are worrying you.
Hope all goes well with you tomorrow, but let us know, because we all care about you.

PENPIN - please don't apologise for your posts. I wish we could do something to help. We're here to listen so keep posting.
MRSMIX - (((Hugs))) to your Dad - and you, too.
DAZI - I'm glad I'm not the only one who is affected by perfume. I don't wear it and DH stopped wearing aftershave years ago when I first told him. It's fine at home but you can't avoid it whe you're outside, can you? When it's really strong it makes me short of breath and then I end up coughing and sniffling like mad.
Well, the weather has been beautiful today, I think it's the best day of the year so far. I hope everyone is enjoying the same and that it lasts and lasts!
