mrs mix, sorry to hear about your Dad. That must have been awful for you until you realised he was alive. Hope he picks up soon, and no trying to do everything yourself:naughty: Just delegate lots to the family:D

PP good luck for tomorrow. We definitely need a crossed fingers smiley.

Catznine, I'm sorry to hear about your cat. She was a good age, but like people, it doesn't matter how old they are, it's awful to lose them. In your heart you know she had to have the op, so you did your best for her, it's just sad she couldn't make it. Poor puppy (Penny isn't it?) she will be lost for a few days, but she'll bounce back, and she will help you grieve and move on.

Well I've done some HW, so for being a good girl, I let myself go to get some groceries. I dropped my unwanted kitchen clutter into the charity shop, and it would have been rude just to drop and run, so I had a browse:D I was very good and only bought 2 books. One a Jodi Picoult, and the other a mighty tome of 501 quilt blocks. I'll probably never make one, but it's lovely to look through;)

Off to get a coffee, then I can justify another 15 minutes on here:cool:

    CM x

Ooops sorry forgot, welcome home tired mum:hello: You will be after all that laundry:rotfl:

can't believe what the time is! I have slept for quite a lot of the afternoon, would have slept better if ds hadn't been sitting here coughing. I had 'invited' him to have some pholcodine, but declined to begin with. I'm really trying hard not to cough, as it's not good for the voice, have a competition a week on Saturday and need to be better for then.

Sorted the receipts in my purse, paid a couple of bills and wrote a couple of cheques before I conked out. DHwill be home shortly, he's got opera rehearsal tonight, so a quiet night in for me. Will try not to go to bed too soon, otherwise I may not sleep as well tonight.

Sorry to hear of your bad news, things on your minds, etc various people. WIll be watching for better news. You wouldn't want my hugs, you might catch something!

Hugs Penny-Pincher!!, mrs_mix and catznine, and all who are not feeling well :grouphug:

Just popped back to say thanks again to all those who made suggestions as to how to heal the burn/scald (which is it when it's custard? LOL!) that I inflicted upon myself last week. I started off with Boots burn plasters, which had to be changed daily as per the packet instructions, and all they seemed to do was prevent it from starting to heal  so I gave up and put a bog-standard blister plaster on it - the gel ones you leave on for a few days. Should have left it on a bit longer I think, but it was getting mucky round the edges and I was starting to feel like the skin needed cleaning - so I took it off just now and it is healing incredibly well :T It's still quite red but not nearly as bad as it might have been. So thanks for your suggestions :D

    Hi all.

Mrs Mix - That must have been a shock for you. Hope he picks up soon.
Martyn - How you doing mate? Hugs.
Tired Mum- Hope you had a good one. Ou est le pics?
Catznine - sorry to hear about Holly. I'd be in a right mess if I'd just lost Cocoa.
I've forgotten everything else I read - sorry! Hugs to anyone who wants or needs them. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I got in to work early this morning, so my manager let me come home early too. Well pleased. Its been a good day, really enjoyed it.

The weather has been a bit odd today - frost when I got up, rain mixed with snow and hail at lunch, then nice sun this afternoon. Was really grey out there earlier, and now its ok again. ~What is going on peoples?~

DH was at hospital again today - goes twice a week to have his leg ulcers dressed - so didn't get much time at the allotment. Plenty of eggs again today - 8. Good job really, he has to deliver a load around town tomorrow, plus I need a dozen for work on Friday.

Not much else new. Hope you all have a good evening,

    Metherer
