Does " order confirmation " mean just that ?0
-
I suppose it just means that they are confirming they have received an order from us.....NOT that they have accepted the order tho.0

i was told it could be taken in two ways, but the majority of people would read it as a confirmed order eg: they will receive the goods...thats what U have to argue! In this trusted place U can erase
Every tear that ever rolled down your weary face
All the time U waste in that paper chase
Is time better spent in these arms of mine0 -
But the point is they are taking the money, well they have for one of my orders (Argos) If they never took the money I would not even argue about it.
Maybe they will also take the money for my Homebase order, I only did that one to use a different card as I thought Credit cards were not being charged so used a bank card for that one.0 -
I ordered a new car last year , got an " order confirmation " from the dealer which was then a binding contract as money had changed hands . I see no difference here at all if they have taken the money & sent an order confirmation .0

When purchasing goods you are making the retailer etc "An Offer" If they take your money then they are accepting "Your Offer", and have to supply you with the goods....But no doubt Argos will have a way of getting out of it.0 -

No doubt argos will start the phone calls tomorrow lol, It will be interesting to see if they use the same excuse with all of us, or if the excuses vary.0 -
I've just read on a webpage that " order confirmation " means that the order has been accepted & that the payment details have also been accepted by the supplier . A contract has therefore been made once the payment has been taken !0
