As for ebay, I hate the fact that people use this site for money making rather than money saving & would appreciate if some one could attach the link about this being against the rules of the site (lost it myself).
Good luck those who want the TV for themselves, lets enjoy the ride!!!
lol what rule? ? ?
if you can make money at the companys expense then surely that is all part of screwing them back....0 -
i have just done a ring and reserve on the item and the package price is at £349..which to me is a reasonable price for a dvd recorder, digital flat screen tv with a stand bunged in! surely if it was an error shouldnt it be 34p rather than 49? also to give a figure of 49p would you not need to input a 0 before hand...0

Any attempt to charge more would be illegal and possibly fraudulent. The Law protects us there, not their terms and conditions.
And I am just putting peoples minds at rest.My views are irrelevant - censorship is alive & well!0 -
Whilst I accept it will be most surprising if any of us get this 49p telly, I notice that some people have mentioned the "invitation to treat" defence.
This means that if you see a telly in Tesco's on sale and labelled at a price of 49p, when you arrive at the checkout they do not have to sell it to you at 49p - they merely say that 49p was "an invitation to treat" - i.e. an offer, which can only be accepted if they take your money. So, quite obviously, at the checkout, they refuse the transaction.
However, it's more of a grey area online. If you see an offer, accept it, pay for it, and they charge your card, then in essence they have entered into a legal contract to supply. In theory, they can't just refund your money and say sorry. Just to make matters even worse, it may also be difficult for them to say "sorry - out of stock" If the item is readily available from their supplier, they may not even fall back on this defence, as they have entered into a contract.
Finally, although pricings like this will always occur, there is a responsibility on the supplier to make a correction in a timely way.
So, although I have no expectation of getting the 49p telly, I will be expecting them to offer some kind of "deal" - ie discount, money off vouchers, etc, etc, in lieu of their mistake.
I know there are a whole load of people who disagree with applying for these pricing bargains, but this offer was hardly posted by a Micky Mouse Co., and they've had a whole load of time to take it down - which they haven't.0 -
I just ordered mine too.......
Worth a gamble and a laugh anyhow!!
Although I think you have more chance of winning the lottery jackpot than getting this TV!!!GoMakeDatMonee :cool:0 -
