Mark - opened it easily from your link. Good luck with your order. If this comes of I will buy you a pint next time I am over (in Robinsons Bar) :beer:The best way to escape a problem is to solve it :j0 -
Just read their pricing policy:
While we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund
Homebase
What it doesn't say though is if they have delivered the goods and then discover error whether they can cancel. Might be worth paying the extra £2.95 for next day delivery.
Found this under T&C2.3 Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it (please refer to Returns and refunds).~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Must be almost a hundred of us ordered now - we only need one lawyer! In reality the whole thing would be cheaper for them to honour the sales surely? These items probably only cost them a £100 apiece - therefore 100 x 100 = £10000 - cheap to avoid publicity and loss of customers, goodwill etc.

As for the number of orders it's probably about £200 per telly they'd lose, and there are probably 5-10,000 orders by now (what with this and the Argos thread and EVERY Ebayer trying to buy 50) so their losses could be more like £1m-£2m which is much less likely to be honoured.
As for avoiding publicity by buying us off - this is GREAT publicity - you just stick a spokesman on Watchdog who says "our prices are ALWAYS great, but not THAT great" - big cheesy grin and massive free publicity. ARG won't give a stuff about those customers who don't get this deal - there's thousands more out there. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0
