I think some people are missing my point here. Granted, 99.9% of applications will arrive without problems, but I bet a few have gone missing. At least with a special delivery you'd know quickly that it had arrived...... or not:eek: . Personally, I'd rather spend a couple of quid for that peace of mind.
there would be no delay.
if they collect their po box mail then they would collect it all regardless of method its sent by
if its delivered then it all goes together0 -

What I can't get my head around, is WHO would sign for it at a po box....? It would need to be an icesave representative, and if there isn't one at that address; then what?0 -
get your mind away from a po box.its just the delivery office 'code'
so mail comes to icesaves po box and is sorted into ice saves slot
then it is put together, then it depends how the mail is handled
it goes on delivery as normal to the address linked to the po box number
or it is held at the delivery office for collection
given they use a po box number with a postcode for their premises it most likely delivered0 -

IF it isn't delivered straight to icesave with other mail; I guess it then comes down to how long it would take someone from icesave to collect from the delivery office. I guess I'll find out. Better get my skates on, or interest rates will drop again soon!!:D Thanks for your help.0 -

Exactly right ..... it's 100% delivered. The POBox No is mainly a mechanism for accounting around their Freepost stuff.Deleted_User wrote:What I can't get my head around, is WHO would sign for it at a po box....? The OP is more than a bit paranoid about the whole issue. Not only requiring whole forum assurance about sending the transfer doc by registered / recorded ...... but then spreading the same requirement for re-assurance as to how it gets there, across a couple of threads? Adequately assured at the previous one I would have thought. If he's going to read 100% mystique into Icesave's postal organisation ..... just use the Freepost envelope! Works for everyone else!

if a company is running a big enough scale to run freepost it will have an early van delivery0

They don't provide a freepost envelope, so get your facts right!:p . Call me paranoid if you like... I just see it as sensible risk reduction. If this subject bores you, don't join in. If a piece of paper containing YOUR personal financial details etc., went missing in the post, I'm sure you'd take a very different view.
PS., I'm not reading mystique into icesave's postal organisation, I have simply been asking how a special delivery would be handled regarding a po box address. If I had doubts about icesave I wouldn't be saving with them would I.0 -

.... and most I've been associated with also use Royal Mail for inward sortation (now known as Selectapost)

..... particularly beneficial if you barcode the incoming Freepost envelopes .... as the Royal Mail sortation kit runs that at extremely high speeds ..... and mis-sorts are virtually unknown. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Wonder where I read that then? Must have been this post of your's 6th April?Deleted_User wrote:Do you mean that even though icesave's address is a FREEPOST PO BOX address; that I can pay to send it "special delivery"? ALSO... are you sure that royal mail will deliver to an address, other than the one written on the envelope (The PO BOX address)? Do icesave even have another address in the UK for royal mail to direct it to?
The 'paranoid' doesn't refer to your wishing to reduce your risk ..... just the moronity of repeating the same issues around the PO Box number and how Icesave get their post from it. Do you think they get no other special delivery material ..... and you're the sole customer that ever conceived of contacting them that way! For goodness sake either get the damned form in the post and spare us all the continuing pain .... or get in the car and deliver it if repeated assurances don't work for you.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

You've got a major attitude problem - I suggest you get some anger management... and go and have a lay down.
By the way clever clogs, I never said that icesave provide a freepost envelope - A freepost address, yes!! Work it out... Actually I'd better spell it out shall I ... "written on the envelope" by me. For goodness sake indeed!0
