Celyn - sorry to here about OH's ex. Has he thought about telling her that the payslips will be provided once the divorce papers are signed and there is no going back. TBH if they've broken up he isn't responsible for her so he shouldn't feel mean for not getting involved anyway!
My day is going pretty well - LO has been pretty calm had 3 decent naps. Going to pick up OH's DS from his mums in a minute.£4000 challenge

Hi there, only my second day posting. Got all my chores done for today so I thought I would try the lemon drizzle cake that has been posted on here and followed the recipie exactly. It looked fine when I took it out of the oven and when it cooled it sunk. So I gave it a bit of an experimental poke and it was still wet and not cooked in the middle. Boo. Not sure what went wrong. I have no idea what happened. So I am having a break and then going to have a go at making Twinks Hobnobs. Maybe I am not cut out for this baking thing.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 086Proud to be dealing with my debts !Total Debt: Was £6368.84  now £945.36Sealed Pot Challenge 049 Aim £5000

Just back form our hols and to exhausted to post properly .... but Celyn if the ex wife is making some sort of application based on marriage then she needs to prove that the marriage is still subsisting but they won't take her word for it alone. your oh can give her the information that she has asked for without implying that the marriage is still subsisting but if he is worried that she might try to imply that it is then he can write to the Home Office to let them know that it isn't - does that make sense?

I've remembered that since I first heard it and keep badgering my choir master for us to sing it too
Been for a run, spoke to the hens and collected loads of eggs, and washing on the line (though not sure for how long).
Baking later (2 quiches, 2 cakes, some biscuits and a chocolate crumble cake).
DH has e-mailed me to say that his flight from Beijing is delayed, so he'll miss his connection to the UKI may need to collect him at 10pm
Have a great day, Penny. x
Yes, that was us, also a small group of us went to sing for Radio 1Xmas party. We were dubbed the 'Radio 1 Carol Singers'. I was so pleased to get picked for that!
Our Music Director arranged the 'I Predict A Riot' for us. She did arrangements of Scissor Sisters "I don't feel like dancing", Rihanna song, name eludes me at the mo and Amy Winehouse's Rehab.

Hiya! :hello:
Hurray it's Friday! :j
Big hug to Smoky and your children.
Hugs to those feeling low or unwell.
Catowen Do you do school pickups/drop-offs? I have a lovely lady who takes my 2 to school on the couple of days that I work and she only has them for 40 minutes. Might be extra money for you and I know so many parents who are looking for before/after school care as the kid's clubs can be pricey.
Well I'm shattered! I returned to school on Wednesday after the Easter holidays and I'm so tired. However, my class seem to have 'matured' over the holidays and their behaviour has improved greatly. I really like this term as I can see how much they've achieved and how close we've all become. They are a really affectionate lot and are forever hugging me and telling me 'I love you'. It makes me laugh as it's always the ones who are told off the most who are the most affectionate.
Not much OS here over the past few days but that will change over the weekend. Although I did make up a huge bottle of bubble mixture last night which we had fun with in school today.
Tonight's tea is a lazy one of cheeseburgers and chips from the freezer.:j
Right I'm off to collect my 2 DDs from my friend's house, she collects them from school when I'm working and they play with her 2 who are the same age.
Have a good evening!:D0 -
Ok so I made some of twinks hobnobs and they worked and are very yummy. I think I must have used the wrong sized loaf tim for the lemon drizzle cake or something.
