Morning to everone, special Hi to newcomers, welcome.
(((((( Smokie))))))
Oh dear Mary43 seems like you have your hands full at the moment, lets hope you have a stress free weekend. I haven't read through yet as I have had to trawel through 207 emails, they have stacked up because useless Onetel had teckie problems and I couldn't receive any mail for the last 3 days, so to those who emailed me, sorry for the delay in repyling.
Didn't manage to do the garden yesterday , as soon as I put on my gardening gear and got the gardening gear out, it started to rain, so did a batch of cooking for the freezer. Spag bol, curry, shep pie and 2 dozen scones. Can't fit a crisp in there now.
Just finished another Smokelet square, Total to date 12.
Hope today is a good one for all of you.0 -
Morning everyone
Horrible weather here, rain and then every so often big lumps of snow, much too wet for it to settle though. Glad I'm not going out today, hope it gets better for tomorrow as need to go down to our little indoor market and buy some lace.
Have small gammon joint in the SC so thats gammon eggs and chips for tea tonight. We have DSD here this weekend as she decided not to come last weekend. Shes got a friend staying tonight but they are coming after tea. Not sure if the friend is staying tomorrow night as well, its HM pizza tomorrow so can easily stretch for another one.
Need to do some baking, not sure what yet got some yellow stickered raspberries yesterday so probably raspberry muffins.
Better get off of here and do something instead of talking about it.

Have just raced outside to rescue washing as it has started to rain.
Fruit cake is in the breadmaker as my DD(19) loves this cake and she goes back to uni tomorrow so I want to spoil her while I can.
Might do cauli cheese, cabbage and saute potatoes with something from the freezer later.
DD and I have had a bacon and egg sarnie as a late brekkie.
Another load of washing is on so stuff will be strewn around radiators later.
Next door neighbours are due to exchange contracts today so fingers crossed it will help our house sell especially as a house across the road has just come on the market for £100,000 more than ours.
Hugs to smokey, martyn, anniestar and anyone feeing low."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon everyone,
i`ve just skimmed through and i`ll hopefully catch up later.
I never managed to post yesterday as i kept getting logged out and read everything at least twice as the thanks button was acting a bit weird, i read through and thanked as i read and then it logged me out after a few mins and when i logged back in again the thanks buttons were all there again as if i`d never clicked them
Maybe just the pc at work but i hope it`s not the same later.
Smoky - glad that things seem to be improving for you, it`s much less to worry about now things look more secure on the house front, i think about you an awful lot and it`s always really nice to see you post.
Mumzyof2 is on holiday and i can`t remember whether she is away for one week or two.
This morning we`ve taken the houndies to the vet and have got some hormone replacement drops for the young lady, she has been incontinent on and off since she was spayed, not often but hopefully this will be an end to the problem.
The shopping list is done and DH will be off to the supermarket and i`m off to w**k, today will be really busy and i`m there all weekend too, not looking forward to it at all but it pays the bills. DH loves his new job and has only been working there a couple of months and really enjoys it, after all the years he has had doing a job he dosen`t like it`s great to see him being happy and positive about things again.
He`s also taking an interest in the kitchen side of things and today i even caught him watering down the milk
Best be off or i`ll be late.
Have a great day everyone and ((((HUGS)))) to all who could do with one.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Afternoon everyone.
I hope you are all well, just riding this flare out at the moment. Managed to get to the Drs for my prescription and now soaking a gammon joint to be stuck in the SC with the Coke OH will be bringing home.
Got my new phone yesterday-will take a little getting used to, but it's very good looking and the camera is rather good too which def can't be bad!
Just watching 'Working Lunch' and then I'll do something a bit more constructive... whilst watching Ellen! Haha. So glad it's the school holidays, my body really needs it! Will probs do some baking later, yummy, and when OH gets in from work we'll have lunch-something on toast I'm thinking.
Hugs to those who need/want

Hi everyone  I wrote a massive post that then disappeared
hugs to those that need or want them. Sorry for not popping in for a few days, it's been crazy here - I was off sick yesterday, but feel better today. Just reading back, I think I've off-loaded so I'm so really sorry if I sound grouchy
My former boss was killed in a car accident on Sunday. We never got on that well, but it's just so sad, he wasn't that old.http://www.ch.cam.ac.uk/
OH has his friends coming one arrives on saturady and the other on sunday. One of them is lovely but the other is hard work. He acts like a jealous 12 year old girl round me and resents my presence because I've taken his best friend away :rolleyes:I wouldn't care, but I am a really easy going person and I really do stay out of the way and make sure they have time by themseleves to do whatever guys do, so I don't know what I've done wrong. I'm certainly not the posessive type and encourage him to go out on his own. Do guys ever grow up - he's nearly 30 and acts like this
So it's going to be fun.
OH's stbex-wife is also being difficult. She has been contacting his solicitor asking for his pay-slips for her residency application (she's non-EU) as her existing permit has expired. He doesn't know what to do - if he gives them then she might use them as evidence that there is still something in the marriage, if he doesn't he's being horrible. I don't know what the legislation is surrounding separation - yes they are married on paper, but I would have thought the marriage has to be intact for it to be used as a basis for residencyHe doesn't want to make it difficult for her, which I fully understand - if she travels out of the UK now, she will have trouble on re-entry and that's really bad for her when she does have the right to stay. Her immigration solicitor is contacting OH's divorce solicitor and he is being billed for the privilidge, which we don't need at the moment.
She's been here long enough not to have to have a family permit and to apply on her own, so I don't know what's going on. At the moment she can't have the payslips anyway because they are being used for mediation. I'm confused she's just asked for payslips, surely she'd need his passport too? It's just going to get difficult as she will be even more difficult over the divorce if she doesn't get her way really fast with this.
I'm going to see alpahbeat at the zodiac on Sunday _pale_ _pale_ A friend of mine is into cheesy Danish teenypop bands  and we all agreed to go with her. Vodka methinks will be needed (or possibly even floor cleaner...) :rotfl: I'm going to wear my rage against the machine t-shirt. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I made milk bread in the BM last night and it wasn't as nice as it was last time but it is okay. Dinner is baked cheese in breadcrumbs as they were cheap in lidl. I have to make cake at some point as we've run out, but I'm still not that well, so I might not get round to it. Thesis is going well though, I had a chocolate and caffeine fuelled crack at the introduction last night and hammered 4500 words out. Some of it sounds a little incoherent and half of it got eaten by EndNote, but we live in hope of it being readable by hand-in day! I just want to curl up in a little ball and wake up when it is all over!
*sings* wake me up when September ends...
However, I saw this in the Arms and I don't think I've laughed so hard for ages: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=851769
Take care all and have a good day, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Update on my parking at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth moan earlier:)
I got through to someone in the end and didn't mention that I had already asked someone else. Spoke to a lady who told me that just for today, we could park in the coach park as they had no coach parties booked to visit, but that I would have to find the management people and tell them so I didn't get clamped / ticketed (I can't remember which she said!). I asked if I could phone and check in the future to see if any coach parties were going, and if not then do this again? She said no! She said I could do this 'very rarely' as 'others are paying'. I left it at that as I really don't think that is a good enough reply.I would be happy to pay if it meant we could park there, but this isn't an option on the coach bays.
I think I am going to have to take this further. It seems so stupid that I can't shop at a shopping centre as there is nowhere I can park.
Decided not to go over there after all0
