  • Morning everyone

    Woohoo it's Friday :j :j :j

Just got to get work out of the way, and I have a whole 2 days off :T

The lounge is nearly done - hopefully DH will have painted the feature wall by the time I get home - then it's operation clean up and the radiators and door to gloss - the it will be finished - can you tell I'm excited about not living in a pigsty ;)

I'm waiting for some blind samples to be delivered so I can order some new blinds, and then on pay day (end of the month  ) we'll be ordering our new sofa and TV.

Tea tonight will be something easy, probably tacos.

Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Morning all you lovelies out there.

Been browsing round the forums again for the last few days.... now OH and I are settled and sorted in the house and we have worked out what is coming and going, im going to crack that whip and try to get as close to MFW as possible before we have a baby... even if i can just shave it off by a couple of grand then its better than nothing right? Especially if i ever need to take a payment break.

Got lots of painting to be finished in the house over the weekend but its gonna be a busy one so i might have to get started tonight... only got the downstairs toilet to paint, and the toilet/hall to tile the floor in then the downstairs is pretty much done... I'd painted my kitchen red and left the far dining room wall cream and after 6 months of looking at it, i hate it so im going to crack out the red paint and get that sorted. That wall houses all my retro 50's diner plaques and signs so i want it to look funky.

As its Friday and im likely to be painting when i get home, its take away night tonight. We have 1 a week as a treat because we dont ever go out... im craving a bolognese pizza or a chinese chicken curry. yummeh! Having a tattoo done tomorrow so ill need my strength LOL :D

Off to check out my budget and do some M.F.W calculations etc.

    Check you all later xx

    Morning all

Bright and a bit warmer here. Washing out on the line already :A. In work just for this morning. Then I'll whizz round with the duster and hoover downstairs when I get home. I did upstairs at the beginning of the week. DS wants me to take him to the post office to pick up a parcel. It's difficult to park there so I'll park up while he shoots in quickly (barring long queues) and collect it. Hopefully if I am still in the mood I might make a dent in the ironing mountain when I get back.

    Have a good day everyone.

Whatatwit, if Martyn pierces himself, I'm sure I can think of a name for it.

Excuse me, will you people please stop talking about me peircing my, err, appendage :o Talk about making my eyes water

Hello all. Today isn't looking bad so far, mainly as a result of last night. I had a fabulous couple of hours swapping pm's and ended up laughing so much that all my upper body still aches this morning. In fact I completely lost it and don't think I've laughed that much in years. It was nice to actually cry with laughter as opposed to despair and my face was bright red when I finally got to bed. The only problem is that I've still got the chuckles thinking about it :D

Have as good a day as possible and my thoughts are with those who can use them.

    Martyn.

Morning everyone. Welcome to rose_tinted! I'm going in to work for a coffee today - have been off for quite a while and start again next Wed. I'm really looking forward to it but thought I'd pop in today so i don't have this big build up in my mind with my start date. It'll be lovely to see my fellow workers again!
Other plans include washing the front windows as they look BAD when the sun shines on them. Might also do some baking. We bought the ingredients yesterday but didn't get round to it. Have some more things from my big declutter to take to the charity shop. Might take a couple of things to antique shop. I have lots of antique table cloths and some newer but vintage type cloths as well so I might venture into ebay land again. Many years since \i did that - got my fingers burnt with Reading festival tickets for my kids (never appeared, money taken - lots of others in same boat, police involved but guy never found - an expensive time).
    Sun shining here.
(((hugs))) to those in need of them

    Morning all :hello:

Is it always this chirpy in here on a Friday?

Did not sleep last night. Don't know why, worrying about money perhaps? Worrying that nobody will come to my birthday party??? God I'm starting to sound like a 13-year-old. Thankfully I was naughty enough to wake DH up and cry on his shoulder. He was lovely and now I don't worry about my B-day party.

Have to go into town today, gotta spend the money on bus fare so I'm trying to cram in as much stuff to do there as possible!!!

Martyn - Thank you thank you THANK YOU for that PM. Won't reply yet, need time to think.

Hope everyone's having a good day, ttyl :)

Another chilly but bright morning here. WM finished. BM on, but strange noises - paddle didn't seem to be turning as freely as usual, but couldn't see any reason, so fingers crossed on the result. More HW planned for today, plus some sewing and the weekly shop as we're planning a day out somewhere tomorrow. Hope you all have a good day.

  • Morning all. Nice and sunny here although chilly. I've got the towels and shower mats to wash in a minute but don't know whether they'll dry on the line today.

Got a loaf in the BM which should be ready in a few minutes, smells lovely.

I bought some seeds (buy one packet get one free) from Woolies yesterday so will be digging out my seed trays today and getting those started. I love it when the world starts to wake up again after the winter.

Had a lovely text from DS21 yesterday - he's so sweet, he'd taken the Nigella cheesecake recipe back to uni with him and had made a raspberry one for one of his many girlfriends - how romantic is that! I would swoon if someone made a lovely pud for me for a change! :rotfl: Apparently she thought it was 'divine' so hopefully a few Brownie points (or better!) for him.

Right, must have a shower and get on. Have a lovely day all. Hugs to Smokey, and anyone else needing one.

    :hello: Morning!

    ((((hugs)))) to Smoky and lo's

Off to my first aid course in a minute, it is going to be a long day just hope they feed us!
The school is in a beautiful setting so it is always a pleasure to drive up there (too far to walk) trees are starting to blossom and bulbs are flowering, squirrels play amongst the trees and often I have to stop the car to let some ducks across the road.

Breakfast was porridge and mixed vine fruits
Lunch - is a mystery just hope we get one!
Dinner tonight is easy - left over country pie!:D

Take care and have a lovely day
