Have a fantastic time Scuzz
(((Hugs))) to everyone.
Oldmacdonald - that really is terrible, hope you get somewhere when you write to them.
Another beautiful day here. Had a lie in as we didnt get in from work till late but now raring to go. Gonna jump in the shower as soon as Ive finished my tea then will start the ironing whilst my hair drys. Really need to iron as have no clothes to wear!
Need to pop out this morning to find someone who can witness our signatures for our invoice factoring forms - hate signing things like that but needs must. Also the man from the bank will be round late afternoon to sort it all out.
Other than that will be plodding through the ironing mountain.
Having leftover chicken made into chicken fried rice for tea.
Have a great day.

Good morning all, well the sun is shining in Oldham today which is amazing in itself its usually raining!!
I didn't end up going to my friends yesterday as her lo has a nasty viral infection so ds went to bed for 3 hours (he could sleep for england, ireland, scotland and wales!!) and i didn't really do much to be honest....although don't tell dh that!!LOL!!
I whizzed through my stack of ironing yesterday with my new super iron-everything in sight was ironed. Think dh wondered what was going on when he got home to find it all done.
Im off to have my hair done at 9.30 then picking ds up from nursery but a hour earlier than ususal-were havign a few problems with nursery at the mo and want to go when they don't expect me iykwim. Then off to costco with my mum-ds has just about run out of nappies, not bad considering i haven't bought any since they were on offer in costco in oct i think-saying that we did have 5 huge boxes with over 1200 nappies in the garage!!
Anyhoo i hope everyone has a lovely day-take care all.xx0 -

OK have no idea what's going on this morning with the site. I have been logged out twice - no idea why.
I can't thank anyone past the first page.
The login box at the top is empty but I'm being allowed to post a reply.
Think it's going to be one of those days.
Woke at 2.45 this morning - it looked like my neighbours house was on fire but when I got dressed and went outside it turned out it was a camper van at the side of his house that was in flames. 2 fire engines turned up (and my, the men were looking mighty fine) and the fire was put out very quickly. Still it was enough of a scare that I couldn't get back to sleep and now I am shattered.
I'm on my own in the office today as boss and wife are on holiday for two weeks. Don't think I will working overtime today.
WM should be fixed this pm. :j £65 but I have budgeted for that so not much of a problem. Made a loaf in the BM but as DS loves fresh HM bread, I expect it will be finished by the time I get home from w**k.
Hello to rose-tinted and pretz. (((hugs))) to those who need/want one.
Have a fabulous Friday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Having to write a report this morning and have a trip to town planned for this afternoon. Then this evening it's my turn to hold the Boozy Bookclub meeting. I have wine, some crips and cake and was thinking of making crudites and dips - that should keep us going while we [STRIKE]gossip [/STRIKE]discuss this months book!
better have a quick run round with the hoover before they arrive as a lot of them havne't seen my new padI love it and feel so at home even though we've only been here 2 1/2 months. Perhaps it's the being married part that makes it feel like that. Never thought I could be this happy :j :j
Right - better crack on.
hugs to smokey, her LO's and a big bear hug for martyn and everyone elser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Awww r.mac, glad you are so happy.
Phoned DS last night, they are buying a new house, and the builders have fitted the wrong kitchen. They got the final bill for the house and are being charged for the upgraded kitchen (which they didn't choose), and for some tiles and a burglar alarm they haven't got  I think they are finding buying a new house very stressful, and just hope they are as happy as you when they finally get there.
Thanks for the good wishes at the dentist, but I have just had a phone call to cancel my appointment, so I have had a reprieve for a few daysWe're still having the Chinese though :rotfl:

Morning all, will read through in a min... ds off school 'virus' flu type thing, came in unwell last night. Said that half the class below was kept in a class yesterday afternoon as the other half was off ill!
I'm going to the 'body' exhibition in Manchester with a friend this morning, DS is nrly 15 so should be OK on his own for a few hours. Were going for lunch afterwards, but will probably come home.
Anyone see my chorus on telly a few minutes ago? The ones with naff scarves singing 'I Predict a Riot'."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Thank you for all the 'Happy Birthdays' to DS, he was really surprised and pleased to see people on a forum wish him a happy birthday.
Not really got a lot planned for today. I have a load in the washing machine already, but it is raining at the moment, so shall put the radio on in a mo to see what the weather is supposed to be doing today, otherwise I will have to resort to putting it over an airer, something I would rather avoid as DS4 pulls it around the room and uses it as a ladder! I spend most of the day putting the clothes back on it!
I was planning to go to Gunwarf Quays in Portsmouth this afternoon, but it doesn't look like we will be able to go which is a shame as I had promised the kids we would visit the Thorntons and Cadburys clearance shops (and Whittards clearance for me!!). I phoned them up to check about parking (we have a mini bus and also need a disabled bay for DS7) as we cannot get into the multi-story as our bus wont fit. They said they don't have any where else for us to parkI said that DS school often take their mini-bus over to visit them and where did they park, I was told they can use the bus and coach park but we can't as ours is private. I am really cross as we have no option other than a mini bus as we have to transport OH, me, DS in his wheelchair plus the other 4 kids, so it looks like I am going to have to write a letter and make a fuss - how silly that an identical school bus can use a bus park when we can't, even with a Blue Badge, as ours is private:(
Rant over
Have a good day all and hugs to those that need them
Hmmm, that sounds like discrimination... I wonder who you can tell, where it would make a difference? Lack of access for the disabled isn't a good thing."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
