I'm in the same position but with Natwest, the letter I've received from them says

"Before we can pursue any claim on your behalf through MasterCard or Section 75, you must confirm that you have contacted the liquidators concerned to submit your claim. If you have not already done this, you are required by MasterCard International to do so and confirm the outcome in writing. Then we can pursue the matter and seek reimbursement from Oasis Airlines"

I haven't contacted KPMG/Oasis so am I being 'fobbed' else do I complete the form now on Oasis website or am I better off contacting Financial Ombudsman now.....please advise :o says I have to reply before 3rd June
    thanks!

    Hey
We paid withHSBC mastercard, and they wanted me to submit the claim form first, and then fax them the reply from the liquidators..in order for a refund to occur
BUT I am STILL waiting for a reply....it has been a week and the liquidators haven't said anything about my claim?? What should i do..it's slowing my process for claiming off HSBC!!!!

That's strange Amy, I'm sorry to hear that. Did you fax it to them? If so, is there anyway you could email a copy to them?

Call the Financial Ombudsman and start proceedings against the credit card company. The phone call will take less than 10 minutes and will result in HSBC jumping through hoops rather than you. Call the F.O. during office hours on either 0845 0801800 or 020 79641000 and put the pressure on the credit card company..

Don't play a "waiting game" - get on the blower and make something happen!!

No, I submitted the form from the website
It is strange that it is taking ages.....Is it worth re submitting one??? I emailed them yesterday about it as well. But i guess they won't reply until next week now

HSBC also want a copy of the submitted claim form, which is annoying too. Because in the liquidators reply, do they normally include the form submitted??

All this about mastercard procedures is probably a wild goose chase we are sent on. why?

because my lloyds tsb mastercard didnt ask for it and i didnt sent them my oasis claim. nothing. just wrote about what happened and they sent a declaration form and got paid.

however, they kept stump about compensation. but i will be writing in for it after i sort out the other card. JL chairman personally wrote back and passed my complaint on to the director of complaints at JL. good service, but no use unless i get my money back!!

Do you mean that you used the online Oasis claim form? If you look at that form again, at the bottom there is a link for a PDF version. This is what I used. I filled it out, scanned the completed form as a PDF, and emailed it to the address provided. If you're able to do that, it might be worth a shot? That way you have your copy of the completed form and *hopefully* the reply from Oasis that you can submit to HSBC.

It's been > 2wks since i sent the claim form with support docs back to Barclaycard, but still hear nothing:mad:  ~~~so I called them again today. After 20 mins 'polite' arguement with their staff, she insisted that i MUST meet two criteria in order to process the refund:

    1) I have to ask the liquidator to send me another confirmation letter stating that they wont refund any penny to me...:embarasse  (i've previously sent a claim form to Oasis and received an acknowledgement letter. I really have no idea about what other letters i shall request from them!)

See my post #369 about the negative bonding letter/letter confirming Oasis do not have any other insurance from which passengers can claim from. I have been successful in getting full compensation including the cost of replacement tickets with MS/Goldfish, who are now part of Barclaycard, this way.

No harm in giving it a go. Surely that will shut them up!
