But if you really want to give the kids an adventure then go on the submarine trip where they go down to the sea bed and you can watch all of the marine life.....

We're thinking of doing this in a few weeks time. I'm REALLY uncomfortable with the diver interfering with the giant rays though.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I've had two Christmases there recently and both were lovely and warm, like a good English summer day, very pleasant swimming in the pool and sitting outside in bars and restaurants. Not too breezy, not too hot, no problems sleeping at night. enjoy!0

We are off to playa Blanca on 8th Nov, and am staying in a villa at Mar de Plata, San Marcial De Rubicon. We are a small party of 3, myself, husband and my 20 year old son whom has Aspergers.
We have not had a proper holiday in years because my son cant stand large crowds, a lot of people ect. So how quiet is it in the area we are staying, and also are there any local restaurants that are quiet? I'm hoping on not having to cook, and am hoping to encourage Son to visit local places of interest/places to eat.
We are hiring a car for the week, so apart from the volcano Montana Roja and the nature park is there anywhere else we might be able to visit that is not full of loud crowds?
I would also like to say , thanks for a fantastic thread, it's been really informative and interesting, and I really appreciate your replies to queries.
JaneThanks to all Posters !

Hi,
I don't know about the marina but a year or so ago at Christmas, we climbed Montana Roja and didn't see anyone once we left the estate of houses at the base. It's not a huge climb if you're used to walking and the views are terrific. Generally our experiene was that nowhere was really busy and many places were positively quiet. The coastal path makes a lovely walk and was never busy at that time of year, especially outside the main area of shops near the harbour.
I hope you all enjoy your holiday!0
