Getting very excited now. This time next week we will be on the plane and over half way there! :T I last stayed in Costa Teguise when I was about 14 and now I am 25. :D

Just printed bus timetables off...not hiring a car so will be using the buses. Hopefully get to Puerto Del Carmen for a day and C!sar Manrique's house using the buses.

We'll also be arriving in Lanzarote next week (monday to be precise) and are from worcester... strange how these things happen.

We're also very much looking forward to it.. just changed our euro's today and will be packing our bags tomorrow :D

    Thanks again Elle :)
  • Hi again Angela. For villas I would look at areas such as Playa Flamingo, and perhaps Los Calamares as both are close to beaches. Don't go for Faro Park as it's too far out. Los Coloradas is close to Papagayo which has stunning coves but minimal facilities.

For hotels perhaps consider Sun Park or Bahia Rock (both basic, but clean and in a great location for Playa Dorada. If you want to push the boat out... then it has to be the Princesa Yaiza... but do be prepared to pay. It's absolutely the best in the resort though... on so many levels.

If you look at specific hotels and want my opinion on them... or what's in the immediate vicinity - then don't hesitate to ask. xxx

Gemmy - have a fantastic time! It's scorching here right now! Today is particularly hot!!! xxx

Motherb - you are more than welcome! xxx

Hi Xandra - thanks for your thanks love. Happy to help! Hope you have a lovely time and that your husband enjoys his diving! Sorry I can't meet up. xxx

    Enjoy!

HERE HERE. Thanks Elle for all your input and links, although we stayed with the "enemy" in Costa Teguise, I still found many useful tips throughout the thread. Thanks again, Rich

You're more than welcome Rich - especially so you as being from Pompey. That's where we moved out from when we emigrated. Elm Grove area of Southsea to be more precise. Hubby was living on Fratton Road before that.

    Elle xx

PS: Costa Teguise is far from being the enemy. Had a fab afternoon up there recently. At least I think we did. I don't remember much after the 4th or 5th very VERY large voddie and coke! Watch out for the measures at the Cutty Sark guys... they're lethal!!
