I didnt particularly want to go on for 17 months you know:D
The fact that they dont seem to bother when we stop tells me that they mainly are ripping it:rolleyes::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

I think it was me that was wanting to carry on feeding her, rather than her being that bothered (I said on a thread earlier in the week that she was much more excited to see her milk cup than she is to see me in a morning, but who can blame her really - it's not a pretty sight! :rotfl:).
I'd started to get 'the comments' from people too, and I know it's no-one elses business, but hearing 'are you STILL feeding her' accompanied by this face --> all the time was making something natural and amazing feel a bit weird and embarrassing."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Still, enforced or not, 17 months is pretty impressive!

I knew that Shannon was taking the mick though as she was far too easily distracted while feeding, leaving my boobs on show for all the world to see:cool:
And that would have led to comments:p:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
LOL!!!
Natasha does that too! It hasn't been so bad for the last few weeks as she's only been having a morning feed (so always in the safety of the bedroom), but I never used to be able to feed her in public, because she seemed to think 'exposing Mummy' was an olympic sport!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

That did make me chuckle. Although i am only ttc at the moment, breast feeding is something that I hope will work for me. Must be very difficult to wean them off or have them not flash your bits around.
Hope you are enjoyin going back to work as best as you can.0 -
Awww, it's an exciting time when you're ttc, but it's always so nerve wracking as the 'time of the month' approaches. Hope it happens for you soon.
Breast feeding is one of those things that works best if you just relax about it - don't let anyone bully you into making a decision either way. Some midwives/health visitors can be a bit militant about it (most are fantastic though), and I can understand why, because it's a lot easier, cheaper and after all, that's what they are for.....but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that baby AND mum are happy and comfortable with the feeding choice.
I'm actually loving being back at work. I'm sure the feeling wont lastbut it's lovely to be Snaggles and not just 'Mummy', just for a few hours (although I love being Mummy the rest of the time
). I'm under a different manager who is absolutely brilliant, and I feel more confident in the job now than I ever did before I went on my maternity leave.
I still feel like I would like to work with children though, so maybe I could do that part time too, once Natasha is old enough for school. I only work one weekday (plus one evening and a Saturday), so I could easily fit some volunteer work in once I don't have children at home through the day. It seems ages away, but I know time will fly and she will be at nursery before I know it."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I did have a heartbreaking moment at snack time when she pulled my top and peered down it, and then looked at me with big puppy eyes and said 'ungy' (hungry...lol)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
