Aww, you're so kind offering me straighteners both of you - if mine do break I might take one of you up on that. Although it's my birthday in September so I may just ask Stu for some new ones. He always says 'I never know what to buy you', so perhaps I should put him out of his misery and just tell him."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Cripes, all this talk of 80's hairdos!!
You know the Irish girl on I'd Do anything...that's my hair, oh and kevin keegan's old barnett...but his was permed.
I am naturally bloomin, can break any kinda straighteners, curly haired. Very handy at times and murderous in that fine rain.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Lol Bob, I am now picturing you with a curly mullet! But the girl on I'd Do Anything had nice hair, I thought. I like curly hair, just not 'scruffily wavy' like mine. But I sympathise with the rain problem - mine looks awful after it has been rained on.
Just trying to find an architect for the extension - anyone used one in Leeds that was okay? I can only find two in the whole of Leeds that seem to do the type of thing we want!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
*sneaks in sheepishly*
Okay, confession time, we had a bit of a spending spree at the weekend and now have £200 on the credit card. :doh:
We did get a badly needed new seat for the loo though, and a bathroom cabinet, which wasn't really needed but we didn't have one, and it does look really nice!We also bought some other things such as clothes for the kids and...um...shoes for me.
To pay it off, I am going to get some ebaying done, and hopefully a car boot if the weather improves (no way am I doing one in the freezing cold or rain!).
In 'boob' news, I have weaned Natasha. Today is day 2, and she had her milk from a cup this morning with very little fuss. I did have a heartbreaking moment at snack time when she pulled my top and peered down it, and then looked at me with big puppy eyes and said 'ungy' (hungry...lol). But I think the time is right, even though I feel a bit sad about it. I'm hoping the milk will go quite quickly, partly because I wont be tempted to change my mind, and partly so I don't have to spend any money on nursing pads!
Based on £5 a week on formula, plus bottles, sterilising fluid etc (and minus the pump I bought to express), I reckon I have saved over £300 by feeding her myself until just over 12 months old."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

I had to bite the bullet and just stop.....3 days of screaming and crying and me saying "mums boobs dont work anymore":rotfl:
She took the hint eventually:rolleyes::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Wow, you did well getting to 17 months! Natasha is a biter, and is getting more and more teeth, and more and more strength, so I couldn't have gone on much longer! :eek:
I told her earlier 'all gone', and she seemed to understand, because she just sort of muttered 'ah gome' and shuffled off to drink some juice instead."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
