well, I've got a cheap set I've used a handful of times you can have if you get desparate.

with tellies if you have a Richer Sounds near you it is worth getting their warranty if you buy anything cos it covers you for 3 years AND you get a refund on the insurance if you dont make a claim.
with white goods i would recommend John Lewis as you automatically get a 2 yr warranty from them and this has saved us in terms of the tumble drier and washing machine

Thanks, I'll have a look and see if we have one nearby. I'm hoping that Stu will ring Tesco (who we bought the TV from) and complain, because it broke when it was 6 months old, and has broken again now it is just out of warranty.
