i love your diary, i have just started to become a dfw and im so excited!
bedtime is such an exciting time in my house too, dont get me wrong i love being around my two but its also such an enjoyable time to take a big sigh and say goodnight to them, good luck with tax credits, at least they will take it back and it will cost you less than interest on your loan!LBM- 9653.63- 26/05/2008

Bedtime can be a bit stressful in our house because Ryan struggles to get to sleep, so he shouts down, gets out of bed and runs round, makes a lot of noise etc. We've got a visual timetable for his bedtime routine now, which seems to help a bit, but he's still awake at 11pm on a regular basis, and often later. I don't really mind, but it would be nice to spend a bit of uninterrupted time with Stu in the evening (especially as Stu needs lots of sleep and tends to doze off on the sofa if he stays up past 10pm!).

One day many many years ago in Flamingoland a young boy (OHs nephew) and his family went for a day out at Flamingoland. Anyway later in the afternoon, the mother realised that the young boy had gone missing. The family looked for the boy for the best part of an hour before they alerted park security. Park security starated searching as well and about 90 minutes after he had gone missing he was found in the penguin enclosure; he had been playing with them and swimming in the water and everything. Anyway the mother was quite relieved to find him but also quite mad at him so she shouted at him, smacked his backside and the day was cut short and they went home. At home, they put him in the bath and her and her husband sat downstairs talking about the day, laughing at what had happened and I suppose quite relieved as well. Anyway, the mother heard some strange noises coming from the bathroom. So she went upstairs, hearing her son laughing and making some funny noises. She opened the bathroom door and she saw her son and a baby penguin sat in the bath and they was playing. Now needless to say she was shocked but at the same time she couldnt believe what she was seeing. She phone Flamingoland and told them that one of their baby pengiuns was sat in her bath with her son. They laughed, hung up. She phoned back and reiterated what she had said and told them to check their penguins and sure enough they accepted that their missing baby penguin was probably indeed sat in her bath. Anyway as it turns out, the boy had picked up a baby penguin when he was playing in the pool with them, put it in his back pack and when mother found out and decided that they should go home, she bundled his backpack into the boot with the rest of the luggage. What a story eh
that's almost as good as my Flamingoland snake story!! :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

I went to Flamingoland when I was about 6. My Dad took me on a boat which went around some lake or other and the guy doing the commentary pointing out the animals etc.
The boat (with about 20 people or so on board) sailed into a completely black tunnel. Me and my Dad were sat on the first seat and the guy starting saying about how snakes lived in the tunnel.
Then I felt something wrap around my neck and I started screaming!!!
We sailed back out into the light and there was a rope tangled around my neck.
The guy doing the commentary (apparently) threw the rope down the boat whilst talking about snakes to make people jump as it touched their ankles. Unfortunately he threw it a bit high and the 'snake' well and truly got me!!
I remember him being very, VERY apologetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There you go - the snake story in all it's scary glory!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
