when my son was 2 we went shopping in homebase. I was looking at some bathroom bits and he was sitting quietly in his buggy. Suddenly I heard, finished mummy... I turned around to find him sitting on the display toilet waiting for me to come and wipe his bottom... yep, number 2. I've never taken a child to homebase since :rotfl:

The sickness has gone thank heavens. I'm still really really tired, but hopefully that will go soon too. Other than that all is fine.

Just reading back a bit, the extension looks like a great idea, I hope it all works out for you. moving is awful, and if you love your house then finances aside it has to be the better plan.

    Love the penguin story lenny!

And  Toto, I too would not have dared go back to homebase!!!

Hope you have a good bank holiday Mrs S. I agree with the house extension - probably makes more sense if you love the place you are in. Good luck with it!

    Awwww, baby penguins, how cute!

Well, I have had my monthly (over)payment from the generous people at the tax credit office, so I have duly paid £200 off the offset loan. Our £50 overpayment has also started this month, so that has taken the balance to £4499.51, just over 10% paid off. Woohoo!! :T

I'm really pleased with that, but obviously it might have to be re-drawn once they finally accept that they are paying me too much.

We went to the pub this afternoon which has an outdoor playground - Ryan has been sooo aggressive and angry all day so we were hoping it might help him to run some of it off (it hasn't worked, unfortunately, but it is almost bedtime! :o). I was really good though and had jacket potato and beans, and a vodka and slimline tonic (and a couple of mouthfuls of Stu's chocolate cake, but I'm pretending that didn't happen ;)).
