Thanks Snags! May take you up on that, although XOH is thinking of taking the kids away in July for a small holiday-the Firefighter Benevelont (?) Fund has a holiday place in Devon he cantake the kids cheaply (he felt slightly silly telling me but I think it's great! Why not use it, that's why it's there!!)

And when he goes away, I may be able to have a wee small break as well, sans kids...

I'm working every Saturday through June, July and August (apart from the last Saturday of the school holidays), so we are just trying to find some ways of making Ryan feel like he's having a good holiday. I'm hoping a few trips will make up for the lack of a proper holiday.

We took the folding camper out for a little practice tow today though, just in case we do get chance to use it this year. It was soooooo cool, you can hardly feel it behind your car at all, and visibility is really good.

We had a bit of a fraught moment trying to reverse it back onto the driveway, because the camber of the road was pushing the nose of the camper up, and the rear downwards, and the legs were getting stuck on the sloping drive (we HAD wound them up, before you ask ;):p)! I ended up standing on the towbar to push the nose down, clinging onto the car boot for dear life! :rotfl:

(quite gutted that my weight made such a big difference!!! :o:o )

Bunny, the place in Devon sounds great. The place where Stu used to work had one in Torquay, and it was fantastic - we had one of our best ever holidays there (the year before we got married). :D

    They do look quite alike!

Syn-free eh? I LIKE your thinking!!

I haven't quite weaned her, but we're down to one feed a day. I'm going to drop that in a couple of weeks though, but I'm waiting until her CAST ;) is off and she's settled back in her own cot (she's in a travel cot in our room at the moment because she gets tangled up in her sleeping bag a lot in the night, and wakes up cross!). I don't want to make too many changes at once.
