The bone is usually slightly stronger just after a break. The muscles inside the pot tend to be a bit weaker, depending on how long the pot has been on. Obviously they're not used, so they atrophy.

I know Beanie,
Not by choice! lolEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Thanks for the info - I will just try to get her moving around on it as soon as possible then.
Hope everyone is okay this morning?
I've booked the tickets for Flamingoland - £22.50 for all of us. :T It's not until July, but I think it will be a good day out.
We have a new plan....heeheehee......oooh, it seems so naughty!! I think we are going to extend our house instead of moving. We considered it before, but discounted it as too expensive, but we have been looking at some figures and I think we could manage.
We are a bit worried it will be complicated and expensive, but I've just posted on the 'in my home' board asking for someone to point me in the right direction (don't even know where to start!).
If anyone has had an extension built and has any advice, I would really appreciate it! The thread is here, if you want a look, but if you would prefer to reply on my thread here, I don't mind."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Eeek Lenny, that sounds painful, poor lad.
Natasha and Ryan had a bit of a mis-hap just over 3 weeks ago, and she ended up with a fractured leg, so she's got a pot on it from hip to toe. But it's coming off on Wednesday, thank goodness."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Why is it called a pot?
We call them casts in Canada but I always thought they were called plasters here? Stop messing with my head Snags, I'm finally getting to grips after 12 years of the lingo (or so I thought?)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

There called plasters here, because they used to be made with Plaster of Paris. They're also called casts presumably from "casting in stone".
Potting is the act of putting something in a protective cast.

I have never heard them called 'pot' before I read about natasha's accident, strange. They have always been known as plaster casts to me not even just casts  Anyways glad to see its coming off soon, well done ryan and have a great time with ryan at the space center and as a family at flamingoland :j0
