I went to Flamingoland when I was about 6. My Dad took me on a boat which went around some lake or other and the guy doing the commentary pointing out the animals etc.
The boat (with about 20 people or so on board) sailed into a completely black tunnel. Me and my Dad were sat on the first seat and the guy starting saying about how snakes lived in the tunnel.
Then I felt something wrap around my neck and I started screaming!!!
We sailed back out into the light and there was a rope tangled around my neck.
The guy doing the commentary (apparently) threw the rope down the boat whilst talking about snakes to make people jump as it touched their ankles. Unfortunately he threw it a bit high and the 'snake' well and truly got me!!
I remember him being very, VERY apologetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"Stay Wonky":D

Bunny, in this part of the country people would look at you as though you were talking nonsense if you said you had your leg in a "pot".
They are casts here......Pot is a northern thing, I think!
Snaggles, the house extension seems like a good idea - what are you hoping to get done?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Bunny you're welcome to come to Flamingoland, although it might be a bit of a distance for you to travel! I can only get discounted tickets for family though.
Hypno, we are hoping to create another reception room downstairs and possibly a cloakroom/utility room type thing, and then another bedroom upstairs. There's loads of complications because of the current layout of the house, but I'm hoping that we could still do it for less than it would cost us to move. We would have to increase our mortgage by about £40k to buy something in a reasonable area, with 3 bedrooms and parking or garage for the camper. Then there's probably in the region of at least £5k costs (estate agents, conveyancing, stamp duty etc), so if we could adapt our current house (which we do actually really like) for less than £40k, it would save us quite a lot.
(And the neighbours that 'shot' at us  moved out in January, so it's a lovely quiet street now!)
There's a potential problem with a drainage pipe that runs down the side of our house, but apparently we may be able to build over the top of it. And then there's the weird curved staircase, which might mean having a second staircase in the extension, but I don't really mind that. And the triangular plot, which might prevent us being able to extend out to the side very far.
So I'm trying not to get too excited about it, in case it's a non-starter, but I really hope it will work out."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
