OMG Ryan is having the worst meltdown I have seen for a long time. He has completely trashed the living room and his bedroom, damaged a door, broken toys, ornaments, all sorts. He's upstairs now still throwing things round, screaming and swearing. Me and Natasha are hiding out downstairs until he starts to calm down. I can hear something being pushed over and stood back up repeatedly, which I'm guessing is his tower fan. It's quite scary really. He's been amazingly happy and 'present' for the last couple of weeks, and usually a very good patch is followed by a very bad patch, so I'm not surprised really. I just hope it passes quickly and without too much damage. It might sound hard hearted that I'm keeping away and ignoring it, but when he's like this, trying to talk to him or comfort him just doesn't work - he needs to get it out of his system on his own. And I need to keep Tasha safe too.
It's like he can cope for so long, but the longer and better he copes, the bigger the explosion when he finally stops coping. I'm not sure what has triggered it today, but it could well be something very insignificant. I know someone pushed him over at school today and he has a little bump on his head so maybe that was it. It makes me feel so sad to see my little guy going through this."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Thanks - he's calmed down now - just trying to put the house back together.
There's no major damage downstairs, a few torn bits of paperwork, a dalek that's now missing a plunger, and a crack in a vase-type-thing (I've just turned it round and you can't see it!). The door that looked damaged just had a scuff on it, and I gently went over it with a scourer, which brought it off okay. Eeep, just noticed a mark where a toy hit the wall. Bahhhhhhhh.
Going to go and check upstairs now."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Opinions please
- there was a black mark on the wall, right at eye level, really noticeable. It's rubbed off but has left a little pale patch where the colour of the wallpaper has rubbed off too (it's only the size of a penny, so not horrendous)
Do you think I should try and find a similar coloured pencil and lightly shade it in? (the wallpaper is a very light coffee colour)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
how about a crayon? You could 'blend' it as it's wax?

I'm not sure if a crayon would be too shiny - the wallpaper is quite matt. I might just leave it, because it's not that bad, and definitely better than the black mark that was there before. I may take a photo of it later and see what you think!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
