And there's no-one else who has really seen how he can be, because when I think there is a likelyhood of trouble brewing, we just don't go anywhere.

So, one time that you know there is trouble brewing - take him somewhere where others WILL see him, then you can get their opinion.

Awww Hypno, that made me cry - I can't imagine how you got through that hun. It's unbearable to lose those you love, and I am always grateful that whatever Ryan's difficulties are, he's here, and he's healthy, and I love him to bits (and Natasha too, of course).

It was supposed to be a positive post, not a "make you cry" post!!!!

    Sorry!!

You can write it as his parent can't you? As if he was older, he'd write it about himself. Then you just need a copy of the statement from the edu psych or whoever diagnosed him

Aww hope he has settled a bit now. I wonder if the hot weather and the fact that he has been so poorly hasn't helped.
It could be - little, insignificant things can sometimes cause the biggest meltdowns, whereas massive things can sometimes pass by with little impact. It's hard to spot the triggers, but we will get better at it, I'm sure.

We have a 'mood thermometer' for Ryan, with a 5-point scale on it, to help him tell us how angry or happy he is feeling at any particular moment. Unfortunately it was one of the casualties of tonights events :o but we can make another. I think it will be quite helpful in noticing when things are starting to build up for him.

    Sorry!!
Don't be sorry, it was 'emotional release' tears, not 'misery' tears. :)

Most of it is for the parent to fill in, but there's one bit that needs a 3rd party to complete it. I think it will have to be my parents, but they are in France for the summer, so it might have to wait. Or possibly I could ask Stu's sister to do it, but I would have to help her (I know she would just say 'I don't know what to write'), and I'm not sure if that would be allowed.

I've got a copy of the report from CAMHS that I can send, along with the report from the speech and language therapist, so that bit isn't a problem.
