Well....my idea behind saying I *may* contact Ofsted is that if I say I'm definitely contacting them, they might feel there's nothing to gain by 'letting me off' the 4 weeks notice, but if they think I haven't yet decided, they might be more prepared to consider it.
Although I have just had an eye opening conversation with SIL - I told her what had happened, and she said 'oh that happened to a friend of mine - she had to complain too'....same nursery!! So I WILL be sending a copy.
Bunny, postie not here yet but I can see him up the street opposite....lol."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Bad nursery... worrying how people are allowed to keep their status with shoddy childcare like that.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

and if you dont get any joy getting your money back i would mention her name and the papers ..something along the lines of i was discussing this subject with a family member as i was so upset at the treatment of my daughter she explained that she has a friend (insert name) that has had the same problem with yourselves so this leads me to understand that this is an on going problem and one you havnt sorted ...i think (insert name of paper here) might be interested to know this information along with ofstead and (do you have a care commission in england?) ...thats very quick off the mark but i would work on that basis .....bunny you and me girl lets go0

I like the way it sounds, lol. And it combines 2 very apt words...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

You definately should report them to Oftsted - things won't improve if you don't! I can't believe their attitude but it seems shamefully oh so common place in private nurseries! My degree in early childhood studies is certainly opening my eyes to just what a "profit making" organisation childcare really is. I'm sure there are many good ones out there still but too many bad ones who take advantage of the "silent" (read baby/toddler) consumers. Hope your work creche is better - I'm sure it will be!

Under the circumtances, they would like to waive the notice period....but they hope I will reconsider and use them again in the future.
Let me have a think about that for a nanosecond...um, NO!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
