  • So your daughter digests food in less than two hours!?! She is a medical miracle!!!
And I'm guessing the work placement person hasn't been taught what a sh1tty nappy smells like, looks like, or how it feels when the child is sat on your lap??
What an absolute load of nonsense! regardless of what they say to you Snags, you should definately write to Ofsted... if something like this has happened to Natasha and shes only been there a few weeks, something similar is bound to have happened to another child... I'm not surprised you are angry, it seems like they are trying to dig their way out of it, but only making things worse.... The 'best' thing is that you only asked the question, its not like you were critising them, and if they's have handled this better from the beginning, then you may not have felt the need to get Ofsted involved!

Now go have a cuppa and chill for a bit!

Maybe there's a market for a Marshall Cavendish series with pictures and scratch-n-sniff and maybe a free poo with issue 1....

So they change the child, then feed it, then aim to changer it again three hours later? I know next to nothing about babies but I do know that's ridiculous!
And there you go.....a non-childcare-qualified (as far as I know), non-parent.....but you can still work out that a nappy needs changing when dirty, not on schedule. Thank you for proving my point hun! :) (not being sarcastic by the way - it's just that you are a perfect example of someone who has absolutely no need to know this, but would still use your common sense and realise it needed doing)

Ryan has just said to me 'Mummy, why do you look upset' (this is amazing in itself as he can't usually 'read' other peoples moods - so I must look REALLY upset), so I told him very briefly....and he said 'Why didn't they change it when she started smelling like crap?' (very eloquent, my son....:o :rotfl:)

Yes, apparently she had the pineapple (cooked pineapple, I might add - it was in sweet and sour chicken) at 12-ish, and did the acid poo 2 hours later....hmmmmmmm......

Will take your advice and have a cuppa...and you're quite right, if they had just said 'sorry, we will make sure it doesn't happen again', I would have been fine with it.

  • That is brilliant! Perhaps Ryan could mention the same thing to the Nursery manager!

    Lol @ Barnaby Bear too

:rotfl: Well, I can provide the pictures - I didn't think to take any on Wednesday, but I have taken some today, and it still looks nasty.

    Ryan is a genius :rotfl:

No I'm not qualified, for someone my age I'm pretty low on the experience with babies list. I've never even changed a nappy, but I know when it needs to be done :o

    Ooooh, I got paid today - £299 :T

I need £350 to cover my outgoings, BUT....we knew I would get less than this in April because I've only worked a part month....so I should get quite a bit more next month, which means....hurray....we can manage on my 16 hours a week. :T

(The £299 is after all deductions, including £250 sharesaves, and *no idea how much* pension, so I think that's pretty okay for 16 hours! :))
