Hmmm...a DFW slant.....
Well, you have sins with SW, don't you? So maybe we could set ourselves targets to have as few financial sins as possible too? So paying too much for something, buying something you shouldn't....etc etc.
NSDs can be classified as sin-free, but buying lunch at work would be one sin?
Need a catchy title though."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
What about something along the lines of "The Free, Red and Green DFW style support group"
I am sure you lot could come up with something more catchy. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Speaking of diets, I have just had this email from a friend:
The Coping Diet
Only girlfriends can understand this one. This is specially formulated diet
designed to help women cope with the stress that builds during the day.
Breakfast
1 grapefruit
1 slice whole wheat toast
1 cup skim milk
Lunch
1 small portion lean, steamed chicken
1 cup spinach
1 cup herbal tea
1 hob nob
Afternoon Snack
The rest of the HobNobs
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream with chocolate chips
Dinner
4 glasses of wine (red or white)
2 loaves garlic bread
1 family size supreme pizza
3 Snickers Bars
Late Night Snack
1 whole Sarah Lee cheesecake (eaten directly from the
freezer.)
Remember: Stressed spelled backward is desserts.
Send this to four women and you will lose two pounds.
Send this to all the women you know (or ever knew) and you will lose 10
pounds.
If you delete this message, you will gain 10 pounds immediately. That
is why I had to pass it on; I didn't want to risk it."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Ive not posted on your diary before snaggles but have been reading it.Its just a thought but if the manager was nice and this girl was defensive do you think she may have been spoken to before about similar incidents? Maybe she was rude as she is in real trouble now with her manager and quite rightly so.
I bet you the manager rings you.Even so it is not right our babies are the most precious things in the world to us and we want to feel happy and secure when they are in someone elses care.
My baby doesnt go to nursery, I had to spend 6 weeks at one when I did my nurse training to look at the healthy child, it opened my eyes I can tell you.I would go with the creche if I were you, is it in the building where you work would you be able to "pop in" easily if you were worried.0 -
Snaggles, sorry to hear how things went with the nursery. Just to put another slant on things, have you thought that maybe the manager has something to do with the way this girl has reacted on the phone to you.
Just a thought, but if the manager is not very good at managing and and has gone about talking to Natasha's key worker in the wrong way, that could have been why she was so defensive/hostile to you.
If you can tomorrow, maybe it might be worth setting up a meeting with the manager and Natashas key worker, so that there is no misunderstanding about what you are saying.
I know this sort of situation does not fill you with a great deal of hope about the kind of establishment they are running, but if it gets you out of paying money in leiu of notice, is it not worth a shot?
But if a nappy is changed at 12 and not checked again before 3 maybe they need to reassess their 'nappy changing policy' and while they are at it, maybe they could do with a few sensory exercises in the nursery. If the staff cannot smell S**t then there is something wrong:rotfl: .:j DEBT FREE FROM 01/01/11 :j

It could have been the manager - she was nice on the phone, but you never really know how they treat their staff I suppose. I think the creche will be a good option, it's just a shame that it has to be a panic now to get it sorted, but these things happen for a reason I suppose.
