Hi everyone - just back on here with a cuppa having spent the morning sorting out DH's business books for those lovely people at the tax office - oh, the joy of it all. So much red tape to get through these days.

I have just had a sandwich and quite a lot of arkonite-babe's snickerdoodles which really are yummy.

MRS MIX - I hope you start feeling better soon.

SPLODGE - it's so sad; your DS must really love his wife. It's obviously breaking both your hearts - I really feel for you because there's not much anyone can do but give it time. At least he has you and he can cry with you which must be a real help. (((Hugs to him and you))).

MARTYN - I hope you are feeling positive today. Sending (((hugs))).

Well, the bread has just come out of the oven and smells delicious; dinner is all prepped - spaghetti bol; it's such an easy cheap meal when you can't think of anything else to do! I'm just about to put all my files back in the cabinet and not get them out again until tomorrow. I'm all paperworked out!

    See you all later.

    Afternoon all,

Feeling a bit down this afternoon, DD2 and DGDs 1 & 3 have headed off back to Highbury this morning and while she drives me nuts a lot of the time, I miss her already and even more so the little ones, DGD1 is a very bright little girl and never stops asking questions and making statements...baby will be 7 weeks to-morrow and spends her time chuckling away to herself so will really miss them all...DGS2 has been lost since he came from school...still we will be fine in a day or so, DD2 would come home in a blink of an eye, but her partner has been in London for over 30 years so would be lost...some day maybe.

    Smoky...hugs to you and yours.

Hugs to all who need or want one, plenty to go round.

Afternoon all. Had a bad day with DS. He decided he wasn't going to sleep last night until 8.45pm. He then woke at 3.00am fed then didn't go back to bed until 5.00am. Today he's refused to nap for longer than 40 mins so I've managed a bath and absolutely no sleep catch up. No housework done, barely eaten or drank, pretty fed up really. At the moment sat with my foot rocking his bouncer in the hope he'll get some rest and sleep better tonight.

afternoon all, I'm very jealous of those who got bargains today :-)

Had a job on first thing this morning, allowed an hour, took four. Just attempted some proper OS home made flour tortillas but I think I just lacked the strength to knead it properly as they went a bit erm wrong.

Yesterday was my birthday and my sister got me a JML tin opener, got to do something with all the tins I opened now whilst 'testing it' :-)
My sister always gets me great prezzies, christmas I got a load of easy grip cutlery, but this is the best yet.

Is it just me or are there not enough hours in the day anymore?

    Hi :hello:

A big hug to Smoky and her family,
Catowen so sorry about your friend's DH and hope the news gets better for him.
Hugs to Splodge and to anyone else in need of one.

Sometimes my 4 year old pupils come out with 'bad language' and it's very difficult to explain to them that it's wrong as they hear the same words used by their parents. So I tell them that we don't use those words in school and ask them to leave them outside the school gate and this seems to work.:D

Today I've had both DDs off school and they both seem to be getting better especially DD2 who is rolling around the floor in the front room. She's going back to school tomorrow, but DD1 needs another day as her chest is still bad.

My shopping was delivered today by Mr T and came to about £46 so I'm still within my £200 monthly target. We're having hm sausage and bean pie, roasties and lots of veg, followed by strawberries and some choc crispy cakes I made with DD2 this afternoon. The wm has been on today and that's about all of my os. I seem to have spent most of the day telling the gilrs to stop arguing about the tv, nintendo games and who has most of the couch! Yes I can tell they're both getting better.

    Have a peaceful evening. :D

:hello: Good afternoon everyone (or is it evening?)

Getting ready for another job interview tomorrow morning. Wish me luck! The salary for the position has been raised considerably, so I'm even more excited about it.

Got the Money Diet from the library and am devouring it. Martin has always been so easy to read/listen to!

Anyway, hope everyone is alright xxx
